I'm guessing so. So copy image is built into FF, not BBCode?

I think Deacon was looking for something like this. It gives you easy access (and maybe access you didn't have, I'm not sure since I don't really mess with the config file) to the tab settings. Theoretically, I think you can set it all back to how FF 1 was.

Anyways, here's the Tab Mix Plus
And yay! I figured this one is helpful enough to include. It embeds explorer into Firefox... or at least that's how it explains it... anyways, it makes it to where you can open up pages that need explorer in a firefox tab. No more separate window.

IE Tab

mood. :p It'll be a sec, though, because I am looking up new extensions right now.

OK, you should give names to the things you link. "It" isn't helpful. And "linky" isn't especially great, either. Also, do not link directly to the auto-installation page, especially from Download.com.

Does anyone know if there's an extension that prevents sites like Google from changing your text input focus when it loads? It's really annoying when I open a new window, start typing the URL of the website I want, then Google loads and changes my focus from the address bar to Google's search bar.

Well, you could simply not use Google as your homepage. Otherwise you'd have to either a) deny Google scripting access to your browser except when explicitly granted by using NoScript or b) figure out some way to deny that particular javascript function, perhaps for the Google home page only...

Come on, dude, seriously...you're linking directly to the install files again. You're halfway there. I know you can do it. All you have to do is believe in yourself. I believe in you. You can do anything you put your mind to. Now, link to the extension home page so that we can get information about the thing we may be downloading before we're surprised with a "ARE YOU REALLY SURE YOU WANT TO INSTALL THIS?" message.

I would've thought this would all go without saying, and I'm surprised and a little miffed that we're actually having to go through this.

And here's a suggestion: click here instead of forming a new reply post.

Ah, didn't catch that. Well... damn, now i have to do some modification to my links in my other thread... I usually just download the extension and try it out personally. If the general description sounds nice then I download it and see how it works.

IE Tab

Tab Mix Plus

EDIT: I prefer it when people do it the other way but I'll fix it up there too

Excellent extension I started using a while back. I'm actually more of a Chrome guy, but I run Firefox on my systems as well, so I've used this extension a couple of times to save textarea data. It caches the data for easy access if you accidentally move away from a page or an update doesn't go through on a post or something.

Oh, to use it, you'll want your status bar up for easy access - click on the little clipboard at the bottom right. If you mean technically, my understanding is that it watches for textarea tags and when text is put into a textarea, it regularly copies that to its clipboard.

Do you have to DO anything to it to engage it? Or would it be constantly updating its memory as I'm typing this right now? If Firefox crashed on me, or if I accidentally closed the tab or whatever, can I bring it back up and I only ever use that little icon to go back through the cache to find what I was typing? Or is it a manual process to save the text?

Nope, it just works in the background - automatically saves. If Firefox crashed or you accidentally close it, you just bring up Firefox, click on the little icon, and choose the text box from the list.
