I know that many of you are still exploring, and having fun posting, and this is Good.
However...
One of the things we are watching is how some hacks affect the board's traffic, since we now pay for it directly. One of the things we've noticed is that some pages are displaying more than 100KB at a time. We expected this to happen from time to time, but it's spiking kind of higher than we thought it would. When I looked at the database, I found that some users had set their Topics per Page and Posts per Page settings amazingly high (200 in a few cases, and a couple of nuts went to 9999). I've since modified the database and profile pages to not accept more than 99 as a value. Those that had higher than 50 were adjusted back to lower values.
We're probably going to put code in place to prevent going over 50, but for now we're going to trust that you'll do the right thing and keep the numbers within reason yourself. Thanks for your understanding.
If I show up at your door, chances are you did something to bring me there.
