This is just something we've started noticing over time, and are starting to get a feeling for why it's the case.
Are you ready? *ahem* This is NOT a forum for you to come and get life help, or direction on where to go, or to gripe about stuff going on in your life. The reason it's called "Real Life Forums" is because it was created as a place for fans of the WEBCOMIC "Real Life" to congregate. Am I saying that all that happens is people talk about the comics? No, of course not. But it does mean that we do not exist to help you get your life in order.
I mean - come on. The title, right up above the text you're reading RIGHT NOW... says "Real Life Forums: A Webcomic Community." Whether you're confused or not, you should have at least read that much.
I say this not because we don't welcome you. Post all you want. But forums are created for people of a vague common thread to get together and discuss things. If you don't share in some part of that common thread, it's unlikely you're going to fit in here. It's extremely likely that any sort of "help me" or "my mom hates me" posts, ESPECIALLY if they're your first ones, are going to get people making fun of you... and that would just get your life further in the toilet than it already is. Nobody wants that.
So, reading all this, if you fall into that category... might be best to just move along. You're not going to find help here.
