Avatars and You : Secrets Revealed!

Postby Greg Dean on Thu Feb 14, 2008 8:05 pm

So you say your forum changed formats on you? Your avatars are hovering over a blue oval now? Sure, the board may resize your avatars to fit - but that's not good enough for you? Well we have a solution for you!

It's the Super Deluxe, Mega-Awesome, Intergalactically Sought-After PSD Template!

How's it work? Simple! Just place your avatar on the top layer, align and tweak it to your liking, then turn off the visibility of the bottom layer and Save For Web! (Remember - save as a 24-bit transparent PNG to make like the pros!)

All this can be yours for the low-low price of $19.95!

Edit: I've included PNG Templates by Baghead below. :) Enjoy!

bagheadinc wrote:Avatars are now able to reach the maximum size of 75x56 px (so those wishing to replace the blue orb can cover the entire drop shadow). This will not affect anyone still using avatars that are sized to 75x55 px. With this update comes a new (and more complete) template set. This includes the PSD file and PNG files of each layer.

Here are the separate PNG files

And for those of you that do not have Adobe Photoshop or just do not have the time, I will tweak your image for you for the low low price of a pat on the back and a 'Good Job Man.'

Where exactly can I purchase a legitimate copy of Photoshop for $19.95? :|

Hehehe...

Any chance we could get it as a flattened out PNG or something? I love the idea of having it to work with, but the one editor I have on me right now (Paint.NET) doesn't support PSDs, and while I can probably tweak it at home, I'm sure I'm not the only one who could benefit from it. :)
Reading Perl is like reading music. It can be a little hard to get into at first, but once you can read it, it's like food for the soul.

Unless it's animated - I WILL MURDER YOU. 24-bit PNGs are so vastly superior to standard transparent GIFs it's not even funny.

"Cinch"?

I don't think that word means what you think it means...

Well, I'm sure it may well be a cinch if you work with graphics for a living (or at least as a hobby).
