It's already on Facebook so some of you know (and a couple of you were called directly), but on Sunday evening, I proposed to my girlfriend of 14 months, Catherine, and she, in her questionable judgment, accepted. I am still kind of dizzy about it sometimes, but I am also excited about it.

I don't really know what to say beyond that. The wedding is probably going to be in March 2013, which gives us lots of time to plan (and I know that time will dissolve before my eyes). Other than that, we're just happy to be able to take the next steps.

At some point, maybe I can get her to sign up here, but for now, I can just tell you that she's the love of my life, and I'm so happy to take this next step.

I sometimes think that a wedding ring on a guy is to women as what bacon on a hot pan is to men.

My fiancee loves bacon more than I do, and I'm a man that loves his bacon. We'll eat a pound at a sitting with ease.
