"Originally shamanism did deal only with hearb and healing, but at history teaches anything that can create can also destroy, and anything that can heal can also poison. I doubt that is the case, though, as when the Europeans invaded North America they all but wiped out the tribes who had delved into that branch of shamanism. It's a shame too, because some of that knowledge would greatly aid medical science today, but may now be forever lost."

"Nothing is forever lost. There is always something, someone. All it takes is patience and dedication. If Shamanism had made a comeback, I wouldn't be suprised if there were a darker side lurking out there. But I still doubt it is them."

"Note that I said may be lost forever, and even then only in reference to particular knowledge in shamanism. I'm well aware that it perservered through time. Still, just thinking of ideas. One can only do so much when cooped up in a conference room."

OOC: JudgeMental, If i just told you what happened there would be no investigations and no game...

"Krauser, Hopefully you won't have to fight anything, but that's why you've been assigned to protect these people."

Kalin smiles. "The door was never locked I just didn't want you to leave. Deception is a part of MY job, and your job is to investgate and if nessecary eliminate the threat to what is known in our world. Please question everything, that's in our nature. But this is your assignment."

He slides a file down to the center of the table. Then he slides a set of keys into the file.

"Here's everything we know, and keys to the suburban in the parking complex across the street. Is there anything else?"

"After I've studied these some . . . perhaps."

Ian reaches for the file, taking it unless someone with faster hands and more determination takes it before he does. He does not, however, take the keys.

"Can't say that I ever fancied myself a detective . . . Then again I suppose archaeology is the forensics of things that have been dead for hundreds of years. Or would forensics be the archaeology of things that are incredibly fresh? Now theres food for thought."

Andrew does not reach for the files yet. He grins lopsidedly.

"Forensics and archeology do the same thing; both try to explain the past with what we see today. The difference is in the details, but the idea is the same."

[OOC:Sorry about my absence, weekend with my mom, no comp there.]
"That's a good question, I may like my .45, but I don't think it will be big enough to take down some of the things this could be."
Krauser looks over to Ian.
"So, anything interesting that I need to know?"
"Maybe that's just me, maybe I'm crazy."

OOC: no problem, My internet turned off for a few hours and it just turned back on.

The file contains copies of all the police reports, and a few newpaper clippings. In the back of the file is a platinum business card for a textile company.

Kalin eyes, Oblivion "Compensation will be given after you've accomplished this mission."

Ian eyes the documents.

"No offense, but this isn't much of a place to start. And I've yet to understand why you wanted me to bring this."

Ian pats the satchel.

"You have no idea what it took to get something like this on the plane. Airport security in this country has gone through the roof, and it still couldn't stop a man from getting a weapon on a plane if he really wanted to."

"I've proven that."

Oblivion sighs and gets up out of the chair. She then starts to pace around behind Ian.

"So, we have to spend our own money, which by the way I have very little of. And since you have found me, then I'm sure you already know that. And now we also have to figure out what is killing cows on some farms? With nothing to go on other then a pack of wild dogs? Ok here is the what happened. A bunch of teenagers got really drunk one night, and went and tipped the cattle over while they were sleeping. Some sunk into mud, and the rest, the teens got really hungry and though 'Hey, free meat!'. There, that was simple huh? Now how about some real money and a pat on the back? Lets go get us some burgers!"

She rolled her eyes, crossing her arms over her chest as she stopped pacing behind Ian.

"So open it already, I'm just dying to see what he has to offer that is going to keep us all interested in this game of his, since the free food has already been eatten."

She makes a mental note of the textile company. Why would he put that in there? Either he knows what they were after, and doesn't want to scare us away, or to lead us astray for some reason...

"The card is for nessecary expenditures, it's one of our money making faces." Kalin says coolly.

"As I said, before this is an investigation, not a seek and destroy. Hopefully weapons will not need to be drawn. I feel, that there is not going to be any advencement, if I stay here any longer, so I will leave. Try to figure out what's going on soon, tonight is a full moon afterall, I'd hate to waste a month more because of a new group bickering." Kalin stands and adjusts his coat.

"Ian I asked you to bring...that, because of a statement that the represenative of the local indians gave, something about a cat spirit."

"Meow"

Scraches her head

"Ok, so now there is a cat spirit, thanks for telling us that sooner. Is there anything else you would like to tell us before you send us out there? Is Bigfoot going to be our guide? UFO going to take us there?"

She makes a face, crossing her eyes and sticking out her tongue

"I won't kill unless I think I need to. And if this is a wild goose chase, then I think I will need to kill someone."

Raises her eyebrow at kalin

"When are we leaving, and where are we going? And more importantly, are there any pancakes on the buffet table?"
