2135- America leads the effort of uniting certain key countries and as a result creates the AIC

2136- America annexes with Canada and Mexico in a relatively small conflict

2148- France, Japan, and Germany recognise the threat of the AIC and forms the UIN in a defensive action

2154- As a result of rumors that the AIC was looking into aquiring China, the UIN forces an alliance

2157- The AIC moves to create alliances with the entire western hemisphere and claims Antarctica

2158- The UIN creates alliances with all of Europe, except of course England, and annexes the entirety of the African continent

2167- Robert H. Heinlien invents the HyperGate, an invention that transports an aircraft from one location to another.

2169- The Amalgamated International Coalition (AIC) and the Union of Independent Nations (UIN) embark on a mission to Alpha Centauri

2195- The AIC fins a planet that is much like Earth and is suitable for survival. The AIC names it New Atlantis.

2215- The UIN finds a planet that is also much like Earth and is suitable for survival. The UIN names this planet Jericho.

2223- A civilian operation called the Extra-planar Discovery Expedition or Operation EDEN discovers the first planet in another galaxy, suitable for survival. They name the planet Eden.

2229- All contact is lost with Eden. According to recon photos, it has dissapeared.

You guys will all start out as members of Eden. You have all been stuck on Eden as it appears to dissapear from existence. The rest will be explained later. When you submit your character, please include which alliance of nations you come from.

Normal forum RP. I submit a situation, you guys submit a response, etc. Or is that not what you mean?

Sort of a conspiracy driven action. Think Mission: Impossible type action with 1984 type conspiracies

Designs electrical systems for telecommunications on Eden.
Has no living relatives. Spends spare time Roleplaying with friends all with
various jobs (Including a chemist, programmer, SEMech [slang name for'Starship
Engine Mechanic'], Import-Export supervisor and a geologist), and reading.

Joined Eden because it gave a chance for a new start in something different.
Nokagi was tired of University and wanted to do something radical, so he
signed up to be an offworlder. At the time he likened it to joining green-
peace, but later realised it was nothing like it, however he did enjoy being
a part of it none-the-less.

I'll try to get something in tomorrow after my Japanese mid-term..

Edited the history, and added the origins of the two alliances, so look up for the new stuff.

A lover of ancient 20th century history, Alex was attending a college when his parents died and he went deep into depression. Dropped out of college, and went deep into debt. Saw EDEN as an escape.

Freelance Aerospace Engineer
Develops and designs all commercial and government air and space ships for Eden.
As a child he could get almost anything to fly and constantly won any paper airplane, glider, arial stunt contest. He is a child prodigy, graudation from high school at the age of 11 and from College when he was 14. For the next four years he has worked for the AIC Central governing body developing ships for intensive space flight. He was placed second in command in the development of the GARDEN, the ship which was used to fly to EDEN. He rode on the ship to EDEN for two reasons, one, to get away from the government that constantly belittled him, and to watch his ship work. While on their way to EDEN, Marek was the ships head pilot and placed incharge of Engineering.

Provided security advice for the EDEN project

As a child Ramiel was brought up in a strictly disciplined military home, his father was a soldier and so was his before him. Therefore it was a given that he would enter the armed forces as soon as he was eligible. He was a smart man with the capacity to make a high ranking officer someday, and was quickly promoted to the 75th Armoured Division as a Lance-Corporal. But as the years went by he became more and more dis-illusioned with the military way of life. And after an incident involving his superior officer he was given an honourable discharge considering his fathers eminent status and reputation.

He joined up with the EDEN project to offer his extensive military knowledge in providing security for the civilians involved, his knowledge about maintaining and repairing heavy vehicles and weapons in the field is extensive and he doubled up as a freelance mechanic during the trip.

Ramiel is a softly spoken man, but he can be very emotional at times. When he joined EDEN he wanted a chance to participate in something greater than himself and to help in any way that he could. During the trip he more than proved himself, acting as a mediator of disputes and helping end an situation before it flared up into something more, and as such is often the man that people turn to when they want advice or help with a situation

Hmmmm... I'll see if the other guys that made their characters are still interested. If they are, then we'll get it started. Otherwise, I think I might take you up on that offer of changing RP forums. Just for this thread of course. I really do like the set up here.
