Bumper Post, so that JM doesn't end up talking to himself again...

I have an idea about that sort of thing. Instead of always having a bumper post (which I applaud Kaymeera's use of), it could also work if, when JM goes in to update his most recent thread, he copies the entire thing to his clipboard and deletes his latest post. Then it will show the previous post as the most recent. Then he can just go back in, repost his old post, and append it as necessary.

Good suggestion, Negative. It seems to work! :D

The weekend pretty much kicked my behind, so I'll be starting later this week or this weekend.

OK, I'm back to work on the introductions. I apologize for the delay, and my unconventional way of starting an RP, but I want to be as personalized as possible. I want to start your characters on their right foot, so to speak.

I'd like to ask all of you to figure out what a basic day in the life of your character looks like. You don't need to tell me specifically, just have something in mind.

Negative Polarity, what department does your character work in? What’s an example of his day?

KaymeeraUnleashed, I’m assuming that Isaac has a number of teaching responsibilities, right?

Mikehendo, I also need to know an example of a fairly typical day for your character. I already have a good idea, but I want to make sure it’s lining up with what you were aiming for, since you said you had more.

Raven, what exactly is your character doing now? He appears to be in-between easing off at his career and developing… other… interests. I’m assuming that the stage in which you’re describing him, he’s still involved to some degree. What kind of buildings does he design/construct? Houses, office buildings, libraries…

Kemchi, what is an example of his responsibilities as a professor? I’m also assuming that he teaches, but does he still have much interaction at the hospital?

Isaac only lectures large groups for advanced Psyc. courses, and either spends the rest of his day in his office with cigars and scotch, mingles with the Dean's crowd, or spends time with his TAs or research students.

Alex works for the Southeast division of the Dallas Police Department. Being one of the few officers without a family (or any real social life to speak of), he frequently works as a nightly patrol officer. He's most often found patrolling the various night clubs around the downtown/business district. When not actually working, Alex tends to spend most of his day sleeping. On the rare occasion that he's got a day off, Alex can often be found hiking around in the desert (he loves to just pack up a tent and a few other essentials and just go camping in the desert), rock-wall climbing at one of the gyms, or "bustin' a move" at one of the night clubs around the area.

A typical day for Alex starts around 8:00 pm. He wakes up, showers, and gets dressed before heading off to work (he's currently driving an older Chevy Silverado pick-up). He usually grabs a bite to eat at a fast-food joint on the way. Once at work, he gets out of his civilian clothes and prepares for the night shift. Alex prefers to patrol alone unless there's something going on in the city that requires extra support (riots, etc.). He then spends the rest of his shift driving around his beat in the downtown area before returning to the precinct, showering, changing clothes, and going home to bed.

Michael still is involved with his work, and is still early on in his recreational pursuits, so his day is still mostly based off of work, or atleast habit.

He wakes up early, although now choses to relax during the morning hours and doesn't get to his office until 10 or 11 am. His business deals mostly with domestic housing and does the big, luxurious homes that wealthy people want instead of cookie cutter suburban homes. He stays loose with his work now, involving himself usually with just the selling, planning, and final inspection of homes. As such, he is either working on plans in his office, out to meals with customers, or at the construction sites. His normal work day is usually him at his office for an hour looking over the current projects, deciding what he has to do, and then going from there. Some days he needs to work until late at night, and some he's done before noon.

On Buck's typical day he wakes up late, brews some coffee and sits around working (gaming) on his ever-cutting edge computer, which he still prefers to overclock, a task which seems to come almost too easily. It is almost as though he can control is computer with his thoughts. He has sometimes liked to believe that he was the master of all things electrical, but realizes that his ego is just getting ahead of him.
After gaming a good portion of the day away, Buck turns to business pursuits, which often take up a good portion of his day. Following work, Buck heads to a local internet cafe where he enjoys hearing his opponents moan when he frags them. After that, it is off to the bar for a drink or two, always beer, before heading back home to play a few more computer or console games until he falls asleep in front of the computer/tv..

David Teaches about 6 classes a week and heads up the Medical Department. He spends alot of the time at the University as well as at the hospital since most of his students are 4th years medical students. His responsibilities include doing paperwork and planning lesson plans for 6 classes. He does reviews for the other professors and has to attend conferences when ever something new in the medical field is dicsovered. His work has started to overwhelm him a little and he's been shoving off alot of his grading to his assistants.

I'm not sure if that helps, but let me know if you need more info.

Thank's y'all. Keep an eye out, I plan to start Saturday evening. If people are busy with memorial day stuff, that's fine. I won't push the updates until afterwards.
