Talk about today's strip, or anything about the comic in general. You can also talk about any of the characters... but don't expect a response. They're FICTIONAL, you guys... sheesh.

Do you mean a TARDIS?

I believe I know the answer to what it is, but I think it is because I have been designing a quilt with Greg's help and I think he is using said thing in the comic.

I'm definitely leaning towards TARDIS. I figure the "bigger on the inside" trick is sorta up his alley.

A few people have said a Tardis, but which one? I believe Greg will make a distinction if that is what it is.

It's my understanding that the whole "bigger on the inside" thing is because the space that you see inside is not actually "inside" in the conventional sense. Instead, by passing through the entrance, you are in a "pocket space" linked to the doorway. In Tony-terms, it would be like if only the police-box part travels, and the door is linked to his dimensional-door device back in his lair.
On the other hand, the LACK of being "bigger on the inside" would definitely help with convincing onlookers that it's just a prop and not an authentic space-time traveling device. The Doctor has a Type 40 TARDIS, but what Tony has built here is more like a Type 01 prototype.

Nope. Otherwise they'd just close the door and open it again to reveal a different vista. They wouldn't have to hold on while it shudders and shakes.

Ye but the only reason it shudders and shakes is because The Doctor leaves the handbrake on, doubt Tony would do something so idiotic as that

Does that mean Wallace and Gromit leaving their moon rocket's handbrake on in 'A Grand Day Out' was a Doctor Who reference?

He likes the noise.

Looking at this page again, I just noticed that in Panel 1, Tony has what resembles an Aperture Science Personality Core. Let's hope that he has the foresight to program them so that they can not rebel against him. I wouldn't put it past Tony to recreate some other Aperture Science technology though (especially the Portal Gun, since he's the kind of guy who would think it would be awesome to actually have one).
