Real Life Comics

Book 2

Talk about today's strip, or anything about the comic in general. You can also talk about any of the characters... but don't expect a response. They're FICTIONAL, you guys... sheesh. :)

In the future, I would recommend Greg publish through Amazon (if possible - I don't know if they do comic book type stuff) - they basically do a Cafepress (print-on-demand) for your books, while giving you a large amount of the sale revenue (I think it's something like 70% of the sale goes to your royalties) with no prohibition on publishing elsewhere if you change your mind. It's a really good deal for authors, as I understand it.

Ah ok, I see it now. Thanks so much for bringing that to my attention. I'm happy to see if it goes as planned. I will prob cry tears of joy if I get my book. HAHA.

If it wasn't for the fact that it's probably been too long I'd raise a dispute with PayPal to get my money back for this book and all the RLSG booklets I've never received. What annoys me is the fact that Greg has now taken to not replying to any thread about things he owes people. You get the occasional post on one thing or another but not much. Though he does seem to come on everyday...just ignores emails and PMs and any post on here that reminds him of how much trouble he's in!

sent in address change, to my new work address. No need to further delay book by having ancient address on file.

Just been going back and checking and I haven't got the email from this order anymore. Did manage to find details on paypal. Didn't realise that I ordered this back in october 2008. The only info I have is "Real Life Comics order #1208" but that was for the old store which doesn't even exist anymore! Hell...Greg doesn't respond and we can't even see details of what we ordered. Can't complain through PayPal due to the age of the order. This is seriously fucked up!

Well, it's March now...I haven't heard anything about a release...did I miss it, or was this another meaningless estimate?

Meaningless. I think Greg needs to do something soon. It's fans like us who provide him with any kind of income from the comic and at the moment we ain't getting anything back. He needs to act or at least SPEAK UP AND ANSWER QUESTIONS before we all just leave!

I would settle for an ebook about now..... The software is free from apple Greg.. It's an option? May not please everyone but It would me :-)

I only wanted a hard copy of the first shirt ninja story line lol, but I find that I can't read the comic anymore because of the frustration of not having any info on if or when this book is coming....

Well what's the point of the eBook? If I wanted to see the comic on my computer, I'd look at the archives. Anything "new" he adds wouldn't be worth the $40 I put in, not to mention the years I allowed this to wait. 3 years for something I didn't order? No thank you.

The ONLY way I can see getting his attention at this point is hitting him where it hurts. Advertising. Contact Project Wonderful or whoever is running the ads on his site now. Contact fellow web comics, especially ones that advertise on this site. Demand they tell Greg & Liz they're pulling they're ads (and money) until this is resolved.

If any posts crop up about a "Real Life get together" this year, Greg should be hammered for even thinking of spending money on such a thing. Not that anyone should think of attending at this point, we're all so infuriated at him over these developments.

So yeah, I think that's the only way of getting this resolved, unless the e-mail route (greg.dean@gmail.com I believe) seems to be working?

Edit: Looks like Google ad services (dunno if they'll care or not) and Project Wonderful are the two big advertisers on the main page.

I think this goes without saying, but if we do contact them, it can't be slanderous. It has to be civil, and not "OMG HE'S A &#&@&@ THIEF!", otherwise they won't take us seriously and nothing will get done on their end.
