Very good point, regarding the appearance of fraud. I only paid for Book2, a one time expense. I've basically given up at this point (though still holding out a slight amount of hope.)
Someone who was doing the monthly payment thing, and not getting anything for several months, would seem to have a good circumstantial case for a scam.
Especially if there are quite a few people. Even more so if there would be a bit of rollover? people drop out after a few months of not getting anything, but new people sign up, not realizing Greg's not keeping up?

For anyone who wants to stop contributing, I would contact Paypal (there's a phone number on their site, I can't access it while I'm at work), and have them stop the payments right now. Explain what's going on. The fact that the Deans have not been providing promised services could get their Paypal account frozen either temporarily or permanently, which believe me, if I were depending on monthly payments like I'm sure Greg and Liz have, would make them sit up and take notice.
IF they haven't touched the funds in their Paypal account, there's a good chance you can get a refund, either partial or full. I would not be shocked if Paypal attempts to contact Greg or Liz, and IF they don't respond to the charges that they haven't been putting out their booklets (or they respond and admit they haven't put any booklets out), there's a chance Paypal will find in your favor. Because from their POV it looks like a scam.
I'm curious as to how many people signed up for this service. $15 a month from one person is $180/year, and that could add up to quite a bit of money if there were a lot of people contributing to this. It could also add up to quite a loss to the Deans if Paypal freezes their funds, freezes their account, and most of all, refunds everyone.
The only way anything is going to change around here is for all of the affected people to be proactive about stopping the cash flow. Contact your credit cards, contact Paypal, any way you gave them money, try to get it back. Fraud charges might be easier in some instances here than taking someone to small claims court. And yes, to a point, this IS fraud. He kept taking your money when he knew he couldn't fulfill promises, and he should have stopped the minute he got so far behind he knew he couldn't keep up.
