You should move up to the Pacific Northwest. Maybe 50's - 60's today, maybe 70's - 80's by Thursday. I could get used to a summer where you don't really even have to sweat unless you're actively moving.

Do you live in the desert or something? Seems like it would have to be pretty hot to be hotter than Lockhart.

Aren't they back in Sacramento, or the greater Sacramento metropolitan area? For some reason I would have thought Texas summers were hotter than the low 100s we had here this weekend.

How do you go to the grocery store? Usually you need to put the steak on the sidewalk or something for that to happen.

Yeah a quick look at the current weather map shows the entire state of TX to be hotter than the entire state of CA (other than Mojave)...

Last year we (Dallas) had 6+ weeks over 100 IN A ROW. Total non consecutive was more than that. I'd wager a good 25% of that was over 110. I don't even live in the hottest part of TX. Ugh Summer.

Good news: we won't have 100 degree temps until the official start of Summer! I think next Tues the forecast is 102

Yeah it was the same in San Antonio. Very hot summer. Maybe it'll be better this year

Ditto for Austin. Soemthing like 89 days of triple digits last summer. Blew away the previos record.

It's not just Texas. Basically the the high plains area (basically just east of the Rockies) are going to see some high heat in the next few days. North Platte, NE has already had three straight days of 100° heat already. Other than the Pacific Northwest, Montana and most of Minnesota, expect highs in the 90's. And now, your weather on the eights!

It's been absolutely draw dropping beautiful here in the Salt Lake City area since we landed Monday afternoon. I'm sad to be leaving here in an hour or two.

True, it's not just Texas. But we do get the brunt. Some areas get a few days, but here it's a way of life. but that said, we know it's coming. Can't complain too much, ya know?
