The house is great -- we'll upload some pics later. The beach is close and gorgeous, and the overall atmosphere is better than expected. Many special thanks to Jez, as she found the place and coordinated the initial contacts. This is working out great.
As suggested elsewhere, we have cams watching the festivities -- two, to be specific. The page auto-refreshes every 30 seconds, so you'll get a fair idea of what's going on. If and as more notebooks and cams become available, we'll look at hooking up more. Currently, both of them are present on the third floor.
Status update:
- Greg and Liz had issues with their airline, US Airways, meaning they showed up at the airport late (and a little cranky, but understandably so). Deacon ended up giving them their ride from the airport to the house.
- Teran's GPS is either psychotic or just confused, as a result of a number of weird turns that it wanted us to make. We still got here in one piece, though, and it was amusing even with the frustration.
- The first night was to be seen, but not heard, courtesy of a PS2 karaoke game. Deacon has a reputation as a good singer, but Liz put him in his place -- she really does have a great voice, and hit more combos than I think anyone.
- Teran is having too much good luck: he's sleeping in EXACTLY the same bed as he has at home.
Any notes, questions, comments, or lame statements?

We're going to go off and look for fresh crab and clams. It will be tasty.
Or so says Greg.

Follow-up: Crab fishing means access to the sound, which we do not have. We have access instead to the ocean, but it means little in either case because the local bait & tackle shop says that crab fishing is really poor this time of year anyway. Instead, we have bought many kites, and are going to go fly them.

If I show up at your door, chances are you did something to bring me there.
