do IMG tags not work here? :(

I may be a n00b here, but i am an amateur Adobe person, and i got my webspace, uploaded it, but img tags don't seem to work here

I have walked the roads that lead to hell, i have challenged all but fate.
I have fought and bled and carried on just to reach this final gate.
And now the task before me looms, this dire deed undone;
I shall make my stand against the Three until the battle's won

My suggestion for new people would be to get an avatar pretty quick - it helps people with poor eyesight (such as myself) recognise your posts quickly and easily, without squinting at usernames.

There are so many members to talk to here, it helps to put a picture to the name.... not necessarily a photo of yourself, just something distinctive so that everyone can immediately recognise your post amongst all the others.

I hope that made enough sense.

Also, think before you chose an avatar. This is what people will come to associate you with, so you want to make sure that it's something that reflects on you(or at least how you wish to be percieved) properly. It will effect some peoples opinions of you.

Also try to use something original... everybody and their uncle has used the dancing GIR at one point.

You should use the bbcode img tags:

Code: Select all

That should work for you.

Tip for 56k'ers.
In your profile, edit your settings to view sigs, but not images. Depending on your post-per-page settings, this will speed up viewing time.

Mere words cannot express just how much this helps. A quick google search can help with hosting. Read the rules for file size limitations.

It's much easier if you're an attractive female.

If you are, post a pic of yourself in the GAH! thread in General Chat. It'll make people far more likely to put up with you.

Or use the handy PM function... :shifty:

Nice to see some generosity, though. Top show.

Crank and Inuki use PM on those type post. Inuki, I dont' think anyone cares that you don't see them and spam isn't welcomed.
