Oh God, I don't envy your decision.....

The nerd in me would choose DC; National Archives, National Gallery of Art, that sounds AWESOME!!!

But then Atlanta has Six Flags and Stone Mountain Park.

I have to consider that I will have Alannah with me, so while I'd love to go to Six Flags- it would be harder than a vacation should be with a 3 (or almost 4) year old. I've never been to DC, and I could probably meet Toni in the process too!

But Atlanta's hotel looks awesome, and... I just don't know!

I'd vote for Washington DC and if you give Toni enough warning time, she could probably give you a kick-ass tour of the city, and get one of her lackeys to babysit Alannah while you and two others enjoy DC's night-life.

Regardless where you end up going, you really going to need to show us pictures of your trip.

That's excellent. What kind of competition was it? And can I come?

It was a radio contest. They played three songs and you had to tell them the theme. :)

And of course you can come along Rors. Just get yourself here.

I vote NOT DC, although you're in Virginia for a chunk of it. Also, most of those attractions are free to begin with. I don't see it being yours or Alannah's thing. I'd say Atlanta or Savannah.

I'd probably do DC but I don't know how easy that would be with a small child. Gatlinburg is pretty kid friendly. The wife and I spent a week there earlier this year and there are tons of things to do with kids.
I'm putting my talents and skills to use for a business so that I receive compensatory funds that I may then choose to spend and invest and save as I see fit. If I choose to blow it all on hookers and Dr. Seuss books, I don't see how that means you owe me a comfortable retirement. - Deacon

Having never been to any of those cities and just going off the offered activities alone, I'd say Tennessee. A trip to an aquarium and a theater followed by miniature golf sounds like a hell of a lot more fun to me than visiting a bunch of memorials... but what do I know, I'm an uncultured bastard.

DC DC DC DC DC!!!!!!!!!

You know you want to come hang out with me. :D

I could teach you how to pick crabs! This is definitely a child friendly area. As long as you pace yourself for the monuments and museums there is a lot Allanah would love to do. Not only do you have the National Zoo and Aquarium, but I could take you up to Baltimore or Annapolis as well.

The fact that the hotel will have a pool will be awesome enough for Alannah no matter where we go! The issue with Atlanta is that Alannah is kinda young for amusement parks- for what it would cost. Mom and I would get into Six Flags for free, but I'd still have to pay $34.99 for the munchkin to get it. That's a lot considering how many rides she would be going on.

Zoos and aquariums are right up her alley. And I would love to go to the Smithsonian, and meet Toni... looks like DC is winning. Now to wait and see what the paperwork says and what the fine print is hiding!

Apropos of nothing, I can't read this thread title without thinking about Monica Friends complaining that she never 'got to win' with one of her exes and thinking that Minxy has hit the jackpot.
