Most of us are dead. It's a long, painful, tragic and somewhat comical story.

I got told not to worry, then told chances were slim, then told I was probably not going to make it, and then told I was a wonder of modern science. And, as of two weeks ago, have now officially been cancer free for a year.

And I still can't find a decent guy to date. Apparently punching a guy and then kicking him in the balls when he puts his hand up your skirt on a first date is something men frown upon. And, goddamnitalltohell, knitting with split knuckles is a pain.

Awesome news. The cancer thing that is, not the groping. The well-deserved crotch kicking wasn't totally un-awesome too — I see my friends constantly finding men like that too and they rarely seem to get any kind of comeuppance.

Huh....after 3 years of being gone, I didn't exactly think that many people were still around.

Wait. You were standing up when this happened? Seems like a bit of an over-reaction. Unless he was aggressively trying to put his hand up your skirt.

It's also pretty stupid. I understand y'know, grrlpower and yay Mrs Pankhurst and all that, but a firm and clear refusal is probably smarter than escalating a situation with violence.

Congrats, Gravity. You should have kicked your doctor in the groin for telling you that you weren't going to make it. (Although calling you a wonder of modern science might have made up for it.)

It does make her sound like a Frankenstein monster though. Hey Lith, have you been feeling a bit odd since your recovery? Any strange, new body parts? New scars? When you woke up after the surgery, did the doctor triumphantly shout "IT'S ALIVE!"?
