University of Delaware diversity Training
I just saw this on Glenn Beck, and while I'm not a fan of american TV media due to the bias, It caught my eye. http://www.worldnetdaily.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=58426 If you go to Glenn Beck's website http://www.glennbeck.com/home/index.shtml you can download the actual training guide. I've o...

Re: Road Funding
After reading that I do see Deacon's point on how that probably isn't going to solve the problem. I'm not so sure that the women at the end is correct. Just because people pay $3.29 a gallon, doesn't mean that they won't feel $8 a day. Especially the daily commuters.

Re: Road Funding
Of course. You didn't suggest something where taxation is necessary to fund a project, but rather taxation is used as a punitive measure to line government pockets and prevent people from being able to drive to work. So what is your suggestion? I can see that you feel Taxation is not the solution t...

Re: Road Funding
Ahem... he asked where you were from. He didn't call you a socialist. We try to be cordial, we don't always have time to be polite . You're right. He was not making an acusation, and I shouldn't gone off on a tangent. And yes, it does take taxes to run publicly funded programs, hence the term "...

Re: Road Funding
Instead of solving a problem, you instead want to take people's money until it hurts so badly that they can't even drive to work or get to the courthouse or patronize the shops and restaurants or whatever else. The "tax 'em till they bleed" something on which I take a very dim view. It's ...

Re: Road Funding
I could be wrong, and I'm wrong alot, but aren't some cities starting to require fees for people to drive private vehicles downtown during certin hours. This would reduce traffic, and bring money in. I'm not sure if they would be able to use this in some way for suburb or interstate travel.

Re: Fossil evidence that velociraptors hunted in packs
It is interesting that the movie, or more specifically Michael Crichton, may have been correct befor there was proof. Although I think the Movie would have been interesting if it had been full of turkey sized raptors.

Re: Interesting science news of the [insert time period here]
Your right. The wiki entry that Adciv was kind enough to point me to described the situation as pandemic. I have been to Africa three times, and all three times my ship was warned that HIV and Aids were as common as every other STD. Of course there were sailors who still couldn’t keep it in their pa...

So we slaughter Chimps and we get one of the worst diseases of the 20th century. Sounds like a Green party wet dream.

Re: Interesting science news of the [insert time period here]
I did RTFA. What I'm asking is, is this Defenitive? It's one article and they don't list their sources. Forgive me if I'm sceptical about things that I read in the media, but from personal experince, they often change the facts. I would just like to know if any one else has seen any other informatio...

Re: Interesting science news of the [insert time period here]
Acutely a disease is anything that impairs function in an organism. So HIV, being a retro virus can be considered a Disease. But my point is do we know where it originated? They say in Africa, but don’t viruses have a starting point?

Re: Interesting science news of the [insert time period here]
That is a frightening article. To think that it came from one person. It reminds me of those simple life simulation games with the pixels. You start off with one pixel and then they multiply until the entire screen is full. I saw that at the end they mentioned that they think it came from people eat...

There is a pretty large community for that kind of thing. Sticks and stones may break my bones, but whips and chains excite me.
