Texas hold'm is the only way to play poker in my opinion. Sure there are other games of varying fun/difficulty, but hold'm poker is he most fun, and also the most challenging.

First off..... Not everything that happens in the real world will be directly related to the comic... Greg might not have even seen the episode.

Done thinking? Good, you think too much. Yeah, there was a comic about how Greg had very bad poker luck, but even the most idiotic of players will get a good hand eventually (and a pair of fours is not a good hand).
