Ok, I'm finally in. Character name is Ramokk Wakahisa.
Fortunately it saved my character creation info from when I made my character on the other server, so I didn't have to go through the whole customization again.

Re: Final Fantasy XIV Guild
Nice, the manual download did the trick. I'm going to go set up my web server to seed them, may as well make some use of the 3TB of monthly bandwidth my VPS has that I never end up using... (Their TOS doesn't ban torrents, only illegal content, and this is fully legit, hopefully it will help other p...

Re: Final Fantasy XIV Guild
My guess is that they've designed it to force several hours of seeding before it will let you finish. Or, my new theory, they designed it poorly so that it doesn't make you seed for a minute or so after it does finish, so it's impossible for people to get the last bit of the file since nobody is se...

Re: Final Fantasy XIV Guild
Patcher should be working now. I guess a lot of people were stuck at the 94.6% mark. Still stuck here. Tried restarting it about 20 minutes ago, didn't help. Rebooting my router didn't help, either. Re: Final Fantasy XIV Guild
What's up with the patcher always getting stuck around 94%? Last night it was stuck there, I left it overnight and it finally finished, but now there's a new patch, and it's also stuck at 94.6%. I hope they plan on fixing whatever bug is causing that...

Re: Final Fantasy XIV Guild
Assuming no one's taken it on the new server, you should be fine. But with the first name/last name system in place, it's not likely someone took your exact name, assuming you're name's something original. =P Ok, that's good to know. I wasn't particularly worried about someone else grabbing my name...

D'oh! I already got in yesterday and made a character on Figaro before seeing the post about the new server.
Will I be able to keep the character name if I delete it and make one on the new server?
How many of you did actually do a google image search for "carbuncle"? I did, and I am stunned in horror. *Joins Greg in recovery*
Couldn't resist....I've gotta stop doing that.
