Re: What's your "Game of the Year"?
Was Star Ocean Till the End of Time this year? If so, that would be my vote.

This discussion is truly fun to read. :) I never realized how important graphics and avatars were to people. I actually turn a lot of the extra stuff in EQ2 off. Not because my computer can't handle it, but because certain things (foliage, for example) obscure my ability to find logs on the ground f...

I've played both EQ2 and WoW. I have to agree with Stotan. I gave up my WoW and stuck to EQ2. On the other hand, I think both games are good. It's more of a personal preference thing. I just like EQ2 better. As for the whole grouping thing, yeah, it makes it easier to get certain things done, but as...

Actually, has anyone tried to get a Blockbuster account lately? The last time I tried, I couldn't because I didn't have a credit card. I have a VISA logo on my check card, which is a hell of a lot more reliable than a credit card, if you ask me. It took me years to pay off about $3k in credit card d...

The idea of women in combat is not a new one. Throughout history, women have led battles, fought, and died for their country, religion, or their beliefs. I am a woman and have absolutely NO DESIRE WHATSOEVER to engage in combat. On the other hand, I don't find any reason to prohibit women from doing...

Robin Hobb's books. Start with Assassin's Apprentice. Awesome books, in my opinion.

Thanks, I'll check it out!

Let's face it. All publicity is good publicity, and publicity sells your product. Having worked at a video game retailer before my current job, I am very aware that it's all about the number of copies sold. It doesn't matter how. Just sell them. What better way than to give some people a way to tast...

What I wouldn't give to be able to read a book at work. I'm not allowed to read, look at the internet, e-mail, chat, or anything. Fortunately, the way my office is situated, it's easy for me to do all those nifty computer things, but I haven't figured out a way to read a book (aside from reading one...

Re: What was the last book you read?
The Fountainhead - Ayn Rand A truly excellent portrayal of the selfishness of humankind. Anyone have suggestions on sci-fi or fantasy books to read? I haven't read any in about 10 years, so I have no idea what's out there. My literary taste bends more toward "dead white guy" literature, Ay...

I don't want to think that hard just to say hello... =/ As you can tell from my sig, I like MMORPG's. EQ has taken a back burner to FFXI, but you can see that I haven't accomplished much there, either. Not enough hours in the day. I'm married, have a 10 year old son, and have a full time job. I'm al...
