I realize, CyberEd, that was a rebuttal to whomever brought up the PMSing point. I didn't intend to be taken seriously.

If the standards for getting into combat are the same, I don't see why women who are able (or gays, or men, what have you) should be exempted from it.

I'm a female, and I readily admit that women are physically far, far less equal than men. That's a simple matter of nature, and there's no point in denying or ignoring it. However, I think any woman capable strength-wise - on the rag or not - should be able to fight. And gays, of course. Physical st...

I recently read a great book on Mormons by John Krakauer (I think?). I don't recall the title, but it was very good.. there are still fundamental sects that allow polygamy, but mainstream Mormons condemn it because they were forced to stop, because it caused so much inbreeding and abuse. So, Soth, y...

Aside from naval's point, isn't god supposed to be all-knowing, loving all of its creations? If we're all part of some plan, and we were all created by a diety, including homosexuals, shouldn't the diety decree that they, too, should be treated the same? I don't understand how religions can promote ...

They can't make a mockery of the sacred bond that is marriage if they aren't allowed to marry. =) Yeah, Ronin, what you asked for was reasons as to why heteros have ruined marriage, and we gave 'em. Still, where are the stats on gays having shorter life spans and all that jazz? I'm practically sali...

First off, you forgot about those statistics. I really would like to see them. How have heterosexuals ruined the name of marriage? Half of them end in divorce. Isn't that reason enough? And how is their sexual orientation damaging to children? I know a lot of fags and dykes, but I haven't jumped on ...

What about the multiple partners millions of Americans have prior to marriage? And, if you could, can you post some sort of unbiased statistical proof of the domestic violence and shortens life claims? I have quite a few gay friends, all of whom are in loving, very long-term relationships. Some of t...

There's a very large difference between taking action for what you believe and being unable to fulfill the requirements of your job. Pharmacists who can't fill certain prescriptions shouldn't be pharmacists at all.

Jesus, and I thought starting to teach creationism - sorry, "intelligent design" - was bad. Bloody ridiculous.

Indirectly though, for the same reasons cigarette packs have health warning labels, and society (at least the American media) is concerned about violence in movies and video games. Sodomy has distinct health risks, concerning the introduction of fecal matter and sperm into the blood stream. That's ...

I honestly can't understand how we can tell one group of people to marry, and tell the other group they're not allowed. It's the separate water fountains, bus seats, restaurants of the civil rights movement, only now it's in the bedroom.

Oppose gay marriage? Don't marry anyone of your sex.

Re: I am here to grace you all with my astounding wit.

It's alright, I'll just assume it's been awhile since he's encountered one.. we are, after all, a terrifying and mysterious species. I don't know how to act around us, either.

Maybe we should put him down for a nap?
