The fingerprint drives are pretty cool, or at least the one I've dealt with was because you can also use it to store passwords for all your websites n'stfuf like that and you actually have to be there with your finger on the thing to get the thing to work, unlike with IE or Mozillas password manager...

One of my friends just got a 19" Princeton from Costco for $299, it has a contrast ratio of 700:1 which is pretty good, most are around 400 to 500:1 I've sold a lot of Hyundai and Advueu 17"s and have been pretty impressed with those, both for under $300

Intel, Nvidia, Via, Sis (gag) all have their own chipset drivers. Download the latest version for your chipset and install. I use a Logitech Wingman cordless and it works pretty well. Uses radio not infrared so no line of site is needed and has lots of buttons. I use it in NFS HP2, GTA3 and Vice City while driving, and in BF1942 while flying. Otherwise I prefer the good old mouse and keyboard.
