Yeah the Urey Miller experiment is pretty defunct, but it really didn't have anything to do with evolution so I guess it doesn't really matter in this thread.

I think everyone should read American the book by John Stewart and the Daily show Writers. It's just hilarious, ironic and sadly very truthful.
Also, if you get a chance, read K-pax. It's fascinating and generally a good read.
