Re: A step into the 21st century

Lol... My DSL connection from Telus, they can't even tell how much I download a month..

I grabbed about 40gb (8gb limit) in one month downloading a bunch of Linux and solaris ISO's, called them to ask what I was at. They were like "umm.. we don't know."

My friend has OSX on a G3 300Mhz mac. Works fine. Took about 30-40 mins to install I think.

Course then deleting files, thats another story, what is it, like 7 minutes to delete 1500 files in OSX on a G4!!?

There is something seriously wrong with that.

I would love to get the ability to just copy a program over and run it... would make backups and upgrades soooo much easier. And i wouldn't mind the wasted space if they added more security, or made it faster. As for drivers, I don't mind them in and of themselves.. but why do I have to reboot to us...

Macs and PCs both have good points. Here is a list of things I would like them to keep and "Mesh" together from both sides. - Macs file system.. there is no fucking point to still use the 8.3 file names, and NTFS is a little old, there are better ways now. - Speed of the PC, I'm sorry but ...

Man thinks in the set laws of math because everything he has seen before him is measurable. The set times of the year it snows, the time it takes for a rock to fall, the mood swings of the better sex that always showed up every 28 days... etc etc etc That is the reason for religion as well. Anything...
