Well if your hair is the same length as in the picture, remember my hair has been growing for another year since that picture was taken. Now if I'm looking straight ahead my hair comes to 6 inches above the chair I'm sitting in. I figure once I start accidentally sitting on my hair I'll get it trimm...

I'm a member of the Luxuriant Flowing Hair Club for Scientists. http://improbable.com/projects/hair/hair-club006.html Most of the time it stays down, since it's nice and straight and doesn't really get in the way. When I'm playing sports or in the machine shop, it's usually in a ponytail (and someti...

Put me down for RISC since I'm running on a Transmeta chip right now.

I'm tempted to pull one of the sparcs out of the closet just so I can vote that too...

I don't have time to attend the actual convention, but since I live nearby I'm perfectly willing to meet up for dinner, etc.

Especially Saturday, I'll be driving all around Hartford on various errands. Just give me a call at (203)654-6449.

If Tony has a time travel device, can't he just put his base back in time before the CIA, NSA, KGB, and all those other nosy people ever existed?

Comic for Feb 20, 2006

Those lockers are garishly bright and ugly. Kind of reminds me of middle school, when the school colors were "gold" and white, with the "gold" being more of a bright puke orange. All of the lockers and hallways were painted that color... At least in high school the lockers were a...

Since this is not about recipes but a possible cookbook, I'm going to still post this here: I'd buy the cookbook if Gred decided to write one. I think it would be amusing to have things like Hollandaise Sauce war paint recipes mixed in with more serious recipes like how to make a proper chocolate ch...

I'm not so sure about the Atheist part - granted I don't really know that much about them but just from casual observation (via the news) it seems they genuinely work for freedom of religion. And in this day and age in the US that means mostly fighting against Christian beliefs being injected into t...

Just out of curiosity, is anyone going to actually propose time and place for a get-together? I think the only thing that's been decided is that many people feel like New York City would be a good setting. In which case someone familiar with the area would know best where/when/what to do.

Soy sauce with a bit of ketchup dries to look like dried blood... although then you'd look like a zombie.

Anyways, I'm happy with either suggestion, assuming it happens at a time when I'm not busy.

I'm in CT....

My apartment is tiny, though. If there's someplace bigger I could even set up my speakers and make a proper party out of it.
