Cosplayers aren't there to give you something to drool about. So who gives a fuck what they weigh?
Different Lulu. As far as fat cosplayers go, fine, I don't care. But if you're coming to a con as Faye or Lum or Usagi, I do NOT want to see that and don't expect people to throw themselves on their cardboard renzokuken for your effection! I'm not exactly what you'd call "in shape" either, but I at least have the decency to cover up. Hence the reason why instead of Sailor V, I'm going as Yumiko (Hellsing: Cross Fire) to Anime Boston.

>_< What really twists my tits (can I say that?) are the fat cows who cosplay in something skimpy, then whine about why nobody likes how they look! STOP LOOKING FOR SYMPATHY AND THINK ABOUT THE REASONS WHY WE'RE SCRUBBING OUR EYES WITH LYE!
I think that second paragraph more or less sums it up.

I have to agree with DemitriFlame. I'm not exactly the skinnest woman in the world but I cosplay and I have a blast doing it. Does that mean I'm horrible because I'm not a skinny cosplayer? No. So don't knock it geez...

Ouch. I live in Southern Indiana. There isn't a con for at least 4 hours from here.

I am not sure about any upcoming ones until next year, but ACen is held in Chicago. It was held in March this year. There are normally lots of people there because its the biggest Anime Con in the MidWest.

I have been reading this post, and first wanted to stay out of it, then thought I would wait to see what direction it takes, then just now decided to add my opinion. I think you dissenters to overwieght people Cosplaying are insensitive, egotistical bastards. Cosplaying is not ment to be for the Skinny "Beautiful" people only. I myself do not Cosplay, but my girlfriend does. It is not about being the best looking person. It is about having fun. it is about people who enjoy Anime, or what ever else they are cosplaying as, "showing da love". If you people can not appreciate that, then you need to do the following:

1. Shut the hell up.
2. Ignore Cosplayers
3. Shut the hell up.
4. Find somewhere else to get your Anime fix.
5. Did I mention, Shut the hell up?

Furre,

People like you are the type of people that are hypocrits, If you had said that you did not agree with my opinion that would be one thing. With the way you worded your response, IMO, you just showed that you can not take others opinions. I offered my opinion and was going to leave it at that. But your reponse forced me to decide to say this..."Hypocrites are fun. They make great target practice."
