Then I'm wearing two pairs of pants.
in Teh Oosah underwear can also be underpants. this clears up any issues with that...

I forget who said it, but if you listen to the Futurama commentary, one of the writers has a theory that "underpants is 20% funnier than underwear." I think this carries over to the Simpsons as well.
So - look out for underpants in the Simpsons and Futurama, because it's 20% funnier than underwear.
