FUEGO!ing

Talk about today's strip, or anything about the comic in general. You can also talk about any of the characters... but don't expect a response. They're FICTIONAL, you guys... sheesh. :)

Did you imagine the final sound as a gun? Or the shattered windows of a car? Did you ever imagine the last thing you'd hear as you're fading out was a song?

The Story of Pandora's Box: edit0riz3d wrote:At first the life of man on earth was happier than it is now, and then miseries and discontents gradually crept in. Prometheus and Epimetheus created forumites only, not cartoonists.

When Zeus was angry with mankind, he devised the worst punishment he could think of, and invented the cartoonist. Hephaestus, the smith of the gods, was instructed to form him from the earth and make him irresistibly silly. Each of the gods gave him his own special gift of skill, and from this he was called Greg Dean, "all gifted".

When he was perfected with every gift and arrayed in all his loveliness, this treacherous treasure was taken down to earth by Hermes, the messenger god who wears winged helmet and sandals to speed his flight, and given to Prometheus' foolish brother Epimetheus. Now Prometheus had warned his brother not to accept anything from Zeus, even if it looked like a gift sent in friendship; but Epimetheus as usual acted first and thought afterwards. He accepted the cartoonists from Hermes and led him into his IE bookmark list, and with him a great chest - which the gods had sent with him, telling him to keep it safely but never think of opening it.

On that box was written one single word: Fuego. This was too much for a silly cartoonist like Greg Dean, who among his gifts was endowed with curiosity. After restraining it for a little while, he at last gave in and lifted the lid from the box, and from that moment began the sorrows of mankind...
And the rest is history...
