The twin suns sink beneath the lake
The shadows lengthen
In Carcosa
Strange is the night where the black stars rise,
And strange moons circle through the skies,
But stranger still is
Lost Carcosa
Songs that the Hyades shall sing,
Where flap the tatters of the King,
Must die unheard in
Dim Carcosa
Song of my Soul, my voice is dead,
Die though, unsung, as tears unshed
Shall dry and die in
Lost Carcosa
- Cassilda's Song in "The King In Yellow". Act 1, Scene 2
Hello there. My name is Steven. I'm 25 years old, and I'm a slacker and good for nothing whose only ambition in life is drifting though it while creating as little commotion as possible. In the meantime, I bide my time by playing games, reading comics, and... as you might be able to tell... collecting various quotations from famous and well-written-and-spoken sources. This is my Alter Ego, The King In Yellow. He's the "Other Me". He's the mask that I've created to associate with others in this forum. The fact that I've stolen the idea of him from R.W. Chamber's play - "The King In Yellow" - should indicate precisely how lacking in creativity and imagination I truly am. Still. I still find it nice to be here. Glad to meet you all.
Hmm. That's about all I had to say, really...
