Voting

Talk about today's strip, or anything about the comic in general. You can also talk about any of the characters... but don't expect a response. They're FICTIONAL, you guys... sheesh. :)

Voting

"Half of the American people never read a newspaper. Half never voted for President. One hopes it is the same half." - Gore Vidal

"Democracy is a beautiful thing, except for that part about letting just any old yokel vote." - Author Unknown.

"Sink or swim, live or die, survive or perish, i give my hand and heart to this vote." - Daniel Webster

Greg. Wether you truly voted or not, I support your comical view of things. The vote, and the freedom it entails, is the most powerful tool the American people have ever been given, no matter what format you happen to encouter it as. Vote for what you truly feel passionate about, and allways KNOW what you are putting your support behind. It dosen't matter wether it's for our nation's leaders, or if you think Ganon could whip Kefka's ass. Cherish your right to vote at all, and never waste it.

(Oh... and by the way. My money's on Kefka all the way.)
"The room was empty of furnishment, save for a five-pillared seat rising so far aloft without stairs or other means of approach, that it seemed only a winged being could ever attain thereto. But on the seat was a figure shrouded with thick, sable darkness, and having over it's head and features a caul of grisly shadow." - Clark Ashton Smith. "The Seven Geases."

It was just the primaries out here in california. But there were a few measures to vote on, and of course I voted. Ever since I turned 18, i've never missed one, and never will.

I find it amusing that in CA, Props 57 and 58 were a package. Both had to pass, yes? Somehow, Prop 58 got about 10% more votes than Prop 57. Obviously, there are people who aren't aware of what exactly they are voting for.

Well, they weren't very clear, and I'm not suprised at the disparity.

One is an actual bond issue, and the other is the removal of a restriction against borrowing against the future. I guess people didn't really understand the meaning of the first proposition.

But jesus, according to the latest results, we're going to be issuing almost 30 billion dollars in bonds.

Funny, there's nothing in any of the propositions about actually cutting spending...

I voted in the primaries up here in Columbus, OH. They had some levys tthat I voted for, for the COSI and the Childrens Services. COSI no passy and Children's Services barely passed that gives monetary support to Case Workers and CPS out here.

*EDIT* COSI = Columbus Ohio Science Institute

What's bad about Irish politics? Shoot the British. I mean, hey, it worked for America!

Note: Neither Real Life Comics nor even the author of this post necissarily supports shooting British people. Depends on the specific British person in question.
