Women!

Talk about today's strip, or anything about the comic in general. You can also talk about any of the characters... but don't expect a response. They're FICTIONAL, you guys... sheesh. :)

Women!

Post by KingInYellow » Tue Mar 09, 2004 10:14 am

"Oh, the gladness of their gladness when they're glad, and the sadness of their sadness when they're sad; But the gladness of their gladness, and the sadness of their sadness, are as nothing to their badness when they're bad." - Amos Bronson Alcott

"Oh, the shrewdness of their shrewdness when they're shrewd, and the rudeness of their rudeness when they're rude; but the shrewdness of their shrewdness, and the rudeness of their rudeness, are as nothing to their goodness as they're good." - Amos Bronson Alcott

Don't you know, Liz, that men aren't meant to make decisions in the first place? All our skills are simply geared - through millenia of evolution - towards the end of hunting, lifitng heavy things, and scratching ourselves in embarrassing ways.

Y'know. It's my personal opinion that men and women are completely different and alien species that simply somehow developed the ability to interbreed.

Oh wait. I'm gonna get flamed like hell for that, aren't I?

Well... hell with it. My views might be off the wall sometimes, but I didn't get where I am today by saying intelligent things all the time. Besides. My opinion of females is a balanced one. They can turn your brains into tapioca sometimes, but they truly do push us guys to make something better of ourselves... which a lot of us desperately need. :glare:

Thanks girls.
"The room was empty of furnishment, save for a five-pillared seat rising so far aloft without stairs or other means of approach, that it seemed only a winged being could ever attain thereto. But on the seat was a figure shrouded with thick, sable darkness, and having over it's head and features a caul of grisly shadow." - Clark Ashton Smith. "The Seven Geases."

"Cthulhu saves! After all... he might get hungry later..."

I don't buy into that hunter-gatherer evolution crap. There is simply too much variation within the species to support the theory.

The more I live, the more I find this to be true.
We are all aware that the senses can be deceived, the eyes fooled; but how can we be sure our senses are not being deceived at any particular time, or even all the time? Might I just be a brain in a tank somewhere? Tricked all my life into believing in the events of this world by some insane computer? And does my life gain or lose meaning based on my reaction to such solipsism?

Ya know, I read today's comic and it's 100% me. The absolute worst questions to ask me is "What do you want to eat?" or "What do you want to go today/tonight?" my reaction is always "I dunno", and let me tell you it annoys the piss out of boys. I'm an agreeable person, and I'm indecisive :P

Y'know, I once heard a grasshopper make the same remark about the females of his own kind, and I just laughed. But somehow when you say it about humans it makes perfect sense.
