(OOC: Her death has nothing to do with anything, its just descriptive writing. Pretend the Nemesier was completely random)

Now....mwahahahahha

wocket, wrapped up in her coat, makes her long way to her home. She had alot to think about. The answer was there, although clouded in confusion and lies. Hopefully Jager would show up tonight. Jager really was a nice person, she thought. She knew. She got lost in her thoughts, and thus did not notice the dark shadow creep up behind her, nor did she notice until a large clawed hand grabbed her neck and twisted it, breaking it in one sickening snap.

The thing devoured her almost methodically, starting with the intestines, then moving up into the chest and neck area., and finally the extremities. She was hardly recognizable. The thing let out a screeching howl and ran into the forest, nearby.

Fast Forward to next morning. A scream. A dead body not 40 feet from Dawn's front door.

Wiggin examined the body. "This isn't over..." he sighed.

As the word spread through town, Jager was notified. UNcharacteristicly he ran to the scene. He fell to his knees, forgetting his age , forgetting the pain, forgetting the countless day of pure and abslute silence. fists clenced arms raised and head back with tears streaming uncontested down his face. Into the cool morning air screamed...

"WHY?"

Jager seems to fall in on himself and succumbs to his tears.

Dawn watched the scene, tears streaming. In the matter of a few days she had gone from worrying about what shoes would go with which purse, and now her world was filled with this horror. She forced herself to go look at the corpse, to pay her respect. Walking over she looked down at the mangled body. She had never seen this kind of carnage before, and did what most beautiful spoiled sheltered brats would do in the situation. She fainted.

*Valio comes upon this scene very much unlike any of his other appearances, this time everyone notices him long before he reaches the scene. He walks as slowly and methodicly as ever. Upon reaching the body, he goes up to examine it; against any protest that may have come from the crowd. He moves about the scene examining many things that people may think unimportant.*

Someone enjoyed this killing. Someone very sick.

*Valio sits there in thought for a while*

or... maybe someone just likes playing with thier food. Maybe it had something to do with their prey... A clergy-woman may have been a 'fun' target... or maybe Amber was being very self-less in her doings... cause there is no sign of a struggle... This indicates one of a few things... a) It was a selfless act on the sake of Amber and she sacraficed herself, possibly to save someone else... b) this nemisser used something to either keep her from noticing it, or keep her paralized... or c) someone who she trusted changed and killed her, someone who she might never have expected.

Whatever the circumstances, the Beast showed no mercy... you see how this neck was snapped? *He points out something very noticable yet in a very gory location* This break prevented all motion from Amber, preventing her from fighting back at all or alerting anyone of her situation, while allowing her to feel every attack against her... she felt herself eaten alive... I hope that her god took her and spared her the pain of this attack.

The Beasts must be stopped. This must NEVER happen again.
*Valio takes off his cloak and lays it upon Amber. There is a symbol on the cloak that no one ever noticed before. He says what seems to be a prayer in a very odd language that no one seems to understand. Afterwards he walks back off in the direction of his hut.*

Lece was awoken from his meditation by a commotion rushing past his door. "It was the townspeople," he thought... "Something has gone horribly wrong." He snapped himself together and rushed out the door, clutching his Morantri Meditation Book in one hand. His other hand covered the hilt of his clan's emerald blade beneith his cloak.

The crowd was rushing towards Amber's house. "No... this cannot be," he consoled himself. But the truth was impossible to deny when he reached the scene. He pushed through the crowd and saw Dawn fainted beside the body. Trying to keep a hold of himself, he removed the blood soaked cloak he recognized as Valio's and he unclasped the chain on his own. He laid it on the remains of a woman he barely knew. "Not even Valio's clothing should defile this poor woman's body."

He placed his massive tome next to the body so he could say a small prayer. When he was finished he stood again, now wearing only a short-sleeved black tunic which contrasted sharply with the bright white of his hair, picked up the book and began to walk again towards his home. He set his face like stone and stoically turned away from the scene.

"...emotions unchecked will consume... emotions unchecked will consume..." the refrain beat quickly through his brain as he began to feel dizzy. His limbs became weak as he pushed his way back through the crowds... he could no longer hear the people around him... he felt someone touch his shoulder and ask if he was OK... "emotions unchecked will consume..."

Then he heard another voice in his head... that of his mother... and Amber, "follow your heart..."

He hadn't realized that he had inadvertantly placed his copy of the Morantri Meditation Book in a fresh pool of the woman's blood. Dripping crimson drops of what formerly sustained a life fell from the book. He stared at the volume, and with tears swelling in his eyes hurled it as far as he could away from the scene. He fell to his knees screaming in agony.

Then, violating one of the strictest rules of his life promise, he unsheathed his small blade and approached Valio. He grabbed him by the colar and put the point of the knife at his neck.

The game is over. I've known who you were since the beginning of this. I saw your kind tear the priest to pieces and I did nothing. I waited for you to show your hand. You allowed the herd to kill an innocent sorcerer by the name of Mia and I did nothing. You and your demons enviscerated the mighty Vincrelis and I sat by keeping silent. The mob took the life of an insane woman for no reason at your direction, and I kept to myself. But now, you evil, life loathing beast, killed this innocent one... whose whole mission in life was to help others. No. NO. NO.

He removed the knife from his neck and used that hand to pul the Morantri clan symbol hanging from a chain out of his shirt. He ripped it off of his neck and threw it in the same direction he threw the blood-soaked book. He returned the knife to the neck of Valio and turned his head to address the crowd.

Lece of Morantri would stand here and bring evidence against this man and wait to mediate the fair execution of justice. This hesitation... the trust in the "fair execution of justice" is what left these innocent people to die. Yes, Lece of Morantri would bury this and more if it meant prosecution beyond all doubt.

He turned again and allowed his white, pupil-less eyes to stare into Valio's. A sneer crossed his lips and he continued his tirade

I am no longer of the clan Morantri. You may address me as Lece Jitmarian, the man I was at my birth. The man I am this evening. The man who will make sure you do not see the sun rise tomorrow.

With that, he suddenly withdrew his blade and sheathed it.

He pushed his way back through the crowd. He again removed his emerald blade from his sheath and knelt beside Amber's remains and smeared the knife in her blood. He withdrew from his pocked a crumpled note and placed it against the door to the woman's home where he had been only hours before. He plunged the blade into the door, tacking the note there. The note is written in a language nobody else can understand. The only words that are understandable are the addressee "Lece", the name "Valio" in several of the sentences, and the signature of the Grand Master Arbitrator of the Morantri clan.

Turning to the crowd, with sweat pouring down his face and Amber's cold blood covering his hands, he spoke

If you have any sense, you will make sure that this man's life is forfeit. He is one of the demons of who you fear. End his existence tonight or I will do it for you.

*Valio stands there calmly throughout all of Lece's tirad.*

Lece, I understand how you feel. But what you were sent here for is not who i am, it is who i was.

*Valio opens his shirt and there is a small white pendant hanging there. He says something over it, then removes it very carefully. After it no longer touches his neck, Valio shouts in pain, then is obviously wracked in pain from the inside. While he had appeared a normal human thoughout the past few days, there is obviously much more than what appearances have allowed. After about ten minutes of excrutiating pain, Valio stands fully upright again. Now he stands but five feet, skin dark as onyx, hair silvery-white, covered in large scars, though his clothes fit just the same as always.*

I WAS a monster. I WAS capable of these acts. That was when I went by a much darker name. Now, I am a hunter for hire... I am someone that people hire to fix loose ends. Though, after a while I lost track of myself... and I ended up turning to one of the churches.

*He looks again at Amber's body. He again goes over to his cloak, and move to place it back over Amber... then folds it up and places it under her head instead.*

You have renounced your clan now. Something not easy to do... but for the sake of me in any way is ... unadvisable. Rage is something you need to control, and it seems that you have a problem with this emotion. Removing yourself from your support group will not help... do not fall into a spiral of rage... a monster you will become... *Valio treads carefully over these words* Maybe calmness is not something that Lece of Morantri would not have a problem with. but someone posing as him just may.

As for who is posing as the monsters arround here i do not know. never have i been able to capture one. Never have I been able to tell the diferance between one and a normal person, nor has my god ever given me the ablitly to pierce thier veil of magic absecuringness. I think there may have been something to ElDee's words though.

I am not ready to make a decision yet though.

OCC: Thanks, Ender!

Lece listened quietly, slowly regaining control of himself. He was not ashamed at letting his emotions thunder out. He was tired of watching. Perhaps if the others in town could see his pain and despair they would believe and understand the truth... the truth he was charged to bring them.

He unconciously ran his hand through his hair, streaking it with blood making him appear even more disheveled. He looked towards the assembly, which now seemed to number most of those involved in the meetings of nights before. The rage was lost from his voice, but so was the stoic control. What proceeded from his lips was the passionate speech of a man freed from spiritual bondage.

I have asked you to bring charge against this man without any cause but my own assurances. I further ask you now to disbelieve his lies. The matter is not what he was, but what he is. And I assure you, he is a demon. I will not plead with you. But mark my words, the truth has a way of finding light no matter how deeply it is hidden.

He stepped around Amber's body once again and approached Valio. He addressed him in a calm but deliberate voice.

I have no problem with rage nor any other feeling. In my times of trial, I was forced to come to a deeper understanding of human emotion than any of these ever could. It was only through this understanding that I was so long able to repress myself. But I was not a devil guised as a man as you accuse, but a man guised as a stone.

I have been fighting myself for some time now. It is true that I have been posing as Lece of Morantri for at least a year now... the memories of the past called into question what my true Life Journey was. Perhaps finding resolution in this tragedy is the fulfillment of this journey, and my shell of a self being only collateral, albeit necessary, damage.

He drew closer to Valio nd softly brushed his hand against his cheek, smearing it with a wide crimson streak. His voice became soft and consoling.

You trifle with good, evil one. (He smiled) and the truth always allies with the good.

And with that, Lece Jitmarian withdrew from the scene content he had done what he had come to do.
