But you won't even be using them for that weekend; the meets take place at different times.

Er, "using" in the most politically correct sense of the term.

Welp I'm not bringing my mini-truck, I'll be rollin' the Durango so that Tony, Debbie and I can have a comfortable ride down there instead of 3 people stuffed in my blue sled like sardines.

Yay for $150-200 in gas to get there and back!

/me gives a thumbs down

What events should there be?

Post by Martin Blank » Tue Mar 30, 2004 5:37 am

OK, possible doings... A few possibilities have been mentioned, including:
  • Going to a theme park (Disneyland, California Adventures, Knott's Berry Farm, Magic Mountain, or Universal Studios)
  • Going to the beach
  • Partying at a hotel suite
  • All of the above (spending the day at a theme park, then going to the beach for the evening, and then ending up at a hotel suite
Thoughts? Comments? Suggestions?
If I show up at your door, chances are you did something to bring me there.

Theme parks are kind of expensive. That is my thought/comment/suggestion .

Most reasonable suggestion of the above would be Knotts, as its the least expensive and one of the closest available to our location. Hotel suite would be the cheap way out.

I used to goto the beach at night with my girlfriend all the time.

The beach in SoCal is only good for about two things. Smoking pot, and getting ridiuculously sunburned because you fell asleep while sunbathing (and then having to make up some story about how you really got sunburned because, face it, no one really wants to admit they were "sunbathing").

Oh yeah, that and messing around with significant others. Or not-so-significant others. Whatever floats your boat.

Why not meet up at a college campus? Not that I'm planning on going (I've had bad experiences meeting up with people I only know from forums... I dunno, it's just creepy), but UCLA is a great place to hang out. There's DDR, a Krispy Kreme, and one helluva a huge area to romp around in. Plus, pretty much every goddamn bus in the city ends up there.

Sure... if you're lame :P No, seriously, bonfires are awesome. Easy to socialize at too.

I hear tales that Disneyland is raising its prices (again). That and California Adventures would be last on my list of theme parks.

Bonfires are good. I went to the beach at 2 AM on Sunday, and we passed like 6 bonfires.
