I felt like that last night trying to get to level 25 with my Red Mage job. Except I was getting disconnected instead of dieing.

Totally feel yeah Liz! Seemed like it took forever to get to 15 in the dunes. Although I just hit 25 in Qufim on Sunday.

Heh, a party I was in was sure that some GM was contriving to kill us off repeatedly.

Although I'm fairly sure it had to do with the various idiocy of the party members (first "oh, Diaga is an area spell" followed by "oh, Thread Leeches link?" followed by "Can you get a raise" followed by my doing a "/pcmd leave").

I never expected raising my WHM to level 20 would be so friggen hard. I guess I got spoiled by parties that know what they're doing in the Crawlers' Nest.

(BTW, Sagus et al, you really need to level up your subjobs to match your level. I think I saw Sagus with a level 26 job and a level 4 subjob - ow. As long as your sub is within a few levels of half your main you don't really see much of a benefit (as in, when I was 38RDM/17WHM there was really no change when I leveled to 38RDM/19WHM), but you really should keep the levels close. Every little bit counts.)

Ah i know your pain QUIFM sucks. once you hit 28-29 goto kazzam and il plants lot sucks but you won't die much. Just broke 32 my self on my red now i need to spend 82k in gill for disspell and dia 2.. ouch!!!!

It doesnt nessisarly need to be even (although yes even is better) atleast get it to level 10-15 to get some of the nicer job bonuses (ie for sam, TP bonus at level 10)

But yes, I think some mobs are soo insane... stupid quifim leeches..they arent worth the exp at any level. >.<

and yes...quifim steals your soul...I think ill make a new sig

a qufim leech party should consist of

2blm, 1 whm, 1 rdm, tank, rng. great xp on leeches.

the most important part is the blm's

yesh, but blms are rare on my server ¬.¬
During my RNG career, I went with days without a whm (did pretty good, just a little more downtime and hard to chain)

I've taken my two classes through Qufim now.

Level 32 Black Mage
Level 26 White Mage

You think Qufim is bad? Be ready to enjoy the Goblin Smithy trains in Yuhtunga Jungle. It took me 3 hours to get 1200 XP because all the trains kept coming in the direction of my party.

I can't wait to get my Bard up. The prospect of going through Valkurm and Qufim again just isn't appealing at all.

Oh, my character? Whiteraven, on the Phoenix server.
