Sadly, Ottawa would make a pretty good place to visit... we've got tons to do up here... lots of museums, some decent hiking, no parks though...

Unfortunately the Dead Sea Scrolls exhibit at the museum of Civilization ends on the 12th of April, but they do have some pretty spiffy stuff otherwise.

There's also tons of theatres, some quite large, so a movie wouldn't be impossible.

And being the capital, there are LOTS of hotels... everywhere.

And a number of historical sites too... and malls. We have a few decently sized malls.

So as much as I hate to say it, I suggest Ottawa as a place to go.

We could always do Cedar Point. Pretty far for true east coaster's, but definitely worth it. You know, reserve a block of rooms there for the weekend or something.

Niagra Falls and Darien Lake seem to be the most central place to go. It's within a day's trip of Ottawa, my place, and Toronto. It's withing reasonable distance from Michigan and Ohio as well.

I'd say Darien Lake, and like Eric said, we can bring along a Gowerlypuff if you want to schedule it around the time he comes to see us :)

Darien Lake (the last I knew... which was a looooong time ago) has some picic areas that you can reserve, which might be a good idea.

Think of me as.... very... east.
and yeah, make it between the 14th and 31st of July.
You'd love me to come (who wouldn't? >.> <.<)... but I'd have trouble getting to canada and back with a british passport. WE WILL SEE.

Blaze beat me to it. (stupid house network keeping me offline... /me shakes his fist at... well, anything, really* )

... Why the HELL would you go to a Six Flags park out East when Cedar Point is more or less nearby? .... Infidels. :D

(East Coast? Me? Nah. But I'd make the trip to go to CP, unless it was late august, in which case I'd be waaaaay far East, in Japan ... oh, and not just for the great coasters, but to meet you forum 'coasters, too. *rimshot*)

If I could get a ride I would be able to make it.

I'd swing for an east coast gathering. I'm reasonable close to upstate new york. (like 3 hours.) I dunno though...cause my car is kinda.......shit......I dunno how much of the ride it could take.

I might be interested... it would all depend on whether my parents would let me go. I live in Northern VA, so anything excepting Canada wouldn't be TOO bad of a trip.

But put me down as a 2% chance of going. I hardly have a shot, but I'm interested.

I vote for Ottawa because it is fairly easy to get to, cheaper than Toronto, has many places to stay, decent bus system, lots to do that is FREE like hiking and stuffs. It also has the Shanty so I have a free place to stay! Besides, I like making them clean up the house for my visit :P
