Hmmmm I may be able to come, depending on location and time, as I'll probably be taking summer classes.

Hillsdale area. There's a three lake chain. Long lake, Carpenter Lake, and Hemlock Lake. The cabin is on Long.

Seems like there are three main choices for a location: Ottawa, Blaze's cabin, or the Niagra Falls/Darien lake area. I say everyone post their opinions on each place, why you think its best and whether or not you would attend if it was there. And also some dates of when you would be able to make it to that location would help.

Ottawa:
Pros- The shanty could probably lodge a few people and/or serve as a place to meet.
Cons- Quite a drive for me. (And its in Canada. I mean come on. Canada! :P )

About a 50:50 chance I would be there.
Could make it July to mid-August.

The Cabin:
Pros- Its free.
-Much shorter drive for me.
-Might draw people from the mid-west too.
Cons- Long drive for the true east coasters.

I would be there and could make it June to mid-August.

Niagra
Pros- A more centeral location for everyone that has shown interest.
Cons- No one seems to be really familier with the area. Would be harder to find things to do, places to gather and so forth.

Unless something comes up at work, I could make it anytime from July to mid-August.

My choice is the cabin with Ottawa and Niagra a toss up for second because of the distance to Ottawa and no one familier with the Niagra area.

We could always kidnap GoldSquadM... he's still alive I think... He's from the Niagra area.

May I also propose Erie, PA. I am familiar with that area and it's not too far of a haul from the Toronto area. It's also got several hotels, beaches and other meeting places.

Pittsburgh has horrible traffic, is confussing to get around and is too far away for most people. I think Erie would be a strech for the Shantyfolk and MC, and I could only do it because I have a free place to stay at my sister's house. Pittsburgh is a 2.5 hour drive past Erie.

I'd like to point out that the east coast extends a goodly bit south past Pennsylvania. I was kinda interested in this but then people started talking about New York & Canada @.@ Heh, maybe this should be retitled for New Englanders as opposed to East Coast.
