Reliving the 80's

Talk about today's strip, or anything about the comic in general. You can also talk about any of the characters... but don't expect a response. They're FICTIONAL, you guys... sheesh. :)

Reliving the 80's

Post by ChronoSword » Mon Mar 22, 2004 1:17 pm

When I saw the comic today, Greg did not look like he was from the 80's. He looked closer to a poor guy off the streets with those raggedy clothes that he had on. Lizzie on the other hand did looks 80'sish.

lol, makes me feel old. I listen to Ace and TJ in the mornings and they were doing their "most rememable music when the graduated highschool" And most of them graduated in the 80s so after listening to a bunch of songs my mom goes "Doesnt this make you feel old?" :X

Alas I remember the 80s having horrible hair styles XD

We had a great 80's station for about 6 months. They even had Madman Murphy (80's DJ extraordinaire) on it. Station couldn't get sponsors and tanked. Now all I get is the "80's hour" on the local top-40 station.

Great comic, though. I'm totally stoked.

Heh, Greg's shirt made my eyes hurt, Lizzie looked 80's though or I assume so from the show on VH1 I was born in 88 so I remember absolutley nothing about the 80's but my older sisters and that show have taught me a thing or two.

While on the topic of the 80's, here's a scar look on how close the Max Headroom TV series was to predicting life in 2004.

I'm seriously addicted to almost everything 80s. It's scary.

Having just flipped on MTV to see 3 nearly identicle videos play one after the other, I definitly miss the music of the 80s, hell I'd even take the early 90s.

Sure, I was 4 when the 80s ended, but I still remember a decent chunk of it. I actually miss the style of those days... sooo cool.

And Greg's threads were totally rad.

The 80s makes my brain twitch, or at least the fashions do. Today's comic made me flash back to the horrorible fashions of yesteryear, and it was all bad *twitch* Thanks Greg. The 80s WAS good for cartoons though, today's cartoons are utter crap, at least cartoons back then were drug induced and odd crap.

I liked the 80's for the most part, but I would have to say I hope hot pink stays there. I dont know if you have noticed recently that they are starting to market 80's style again. I am not kiding. Only this time there is no imaginative use of clothing because they are all starting to be manufatured to look like you have 2 shirts on or whatever. It kind of reminds me when they started to sell hole in the knee jeans. Oh well, enough rambling from me.
