Hellboy
Hellboy
I did a search but didn't find a thread for this, so here we go.
I'm going to the ATL screening on the 1st and I'm highly anticipating it. All reports are that it's top notch ala X2 and Spiderman. Doubt that it will make nearly as much money as those two, though, due to lack of name recognition and all.
If your not up to snuff on the details, the film is directed by Blade II's
Guillermo del Toro. Written by del Toro and the comic's creator Mike Mignola.
Anyone planning on taking in this feast of comic/movie goodness next week?
Anyone have doubts about it?
Anyone have questions about it?
Anyone completely apathetic about it?

I wish I knew more about Hellboy.. he is not a character I have ever really looked at. I will see the movie if it gets decent reviews and looks fun.. will I enjoy it as much as I enjoyed the Spiderman movie though? Maybe not.. because I loved spiderman BEFORE I went in and watched the film.. who knows?
Boucing fairy removed because her boobs were too big... or something..

The costumes look outstanding, I can't wait to see more of them. Especially the Hellboy costume, they did an awesome job on keeping it real-to-comic.
The nippets of action scenes also look great, I especially like the one in the crowded street scene where he slams down on the hood of a car and if flippies. I do like!

No prob.
Hellboy is a demon summoned up by the Nazis as some sort of weapon. Well, he somehow lost his memory, his horns were ripped off (that's what those disks on his head are,) the Nazis were defeated, and Hellboy joined that paranormal reasearch and defense group.
The comics are great. Very stylish, dark art, and many of them are based off of various folklore and legends from around the world. I highly recommend it.

Any of you guys have some links I could look at about the series? The premise sounds kewl, and I'd like to learn a little more about it before I see the movie.

To me, the Hellboy costume looks... well, much like being able to see the zipper on a suit costume. Fake. The costumes look outstanding, I can't wait to see more of them. Especially the Hellboy costume, they did an awesome job on keeping it real-to-comic.

"In your histories, there are continual justifications for all manner of hellish actions. Claims of nobility and heritage and honor to cover up every bit of genocide, assassination, and massacre. At least the Horde is honest in their naked lust for power."

And I agree with Fuggle, something just isn't working right. I think his texture is off.

Ack. There was already a thread?!?! My bad. I did a search for one.

I thought he grinds them down himself, to keep an appearance that was somewhat almost slightly in the farthest stretch of the word... normal, if that were possible.
