Yeah I think it took me about 30-40 minutes to fully install osX 10.2 as well. Of course those estimated times are always off. Usualy WinXP tells me its gonna take 1.5 hours to install, but it usualy takes about 20-30 minutes to full get it up and running.

HAHAHAHA No. It took us from 6:30pm til 11pm actually to install and have it boot ready to use. It was taking it 27minutes for every minute it was estimating.

WTF? Were you installing X on a 333Mhz iMac by chance?

And one experience does not automatically make all mac experiences the same.

iMac... no... ew....
/me cringes.

One way or another... I dislike Mac... They're just good for trash cans, fish tanks, "boat anchors" and a few other purposes...

This is a true story. My friend had just gotten a new Imac a few years ago when they where new and as soon as she turned it on, it actually died x_x and smoked. nothing worked. She says that she has a curse but since she has only used Macs i would say its maybe the Macs.

My friend has OSX on a G3 300Mhz mac. Works fine. Took about 30-40 mins to install I think.

Course then deleting files, thats another story, what is it, like 7 minutes to delete 1500 files in OSX on a G4!!?

There is something seriously wrong with that.

I've never had a Mac give me the slightest trouble, besides printer trouble, but that happens to me all the time on Windows too. Then again, all my friends say computers love me, so, ah well. Wait, no, that rocks. :D
