.hack//INFECTION

Has anyone else picked up the game yet? I got mine last night at best buy (first copy the store sold too, bwahaha) as well as I finally picked up FFX. From the beginning its too easy, you can barely even kill anything for yourself since your friend Orca is with you, and he's like level 50 so he does several hundred to two thousand damage to any enemy. the keyword system is probably the most innovative thing about the game, just take 3 words from a list and it will generate a play field that could have absolutely no monsters (happened to me twice), or an impossibly hard area with dozens of creatures that can even be invulnerable, in which case you have to use the "special" technique that you get shortly after meeting Black Rose.

DISCUSS!!!

What's to discuss..I have the game as well and I don't think people would want me to say anything about the game that might ruin the story for them (seeing as how I'm in the Beta server already....though the sign they use for Beta is actually the sign for theta...but that's just simantics)

As much as I hate to admit it, I've not heard much about it - link?

Data Draining

Post by Seraphim » Wed Feb 19, 2003 2:26 am

Yea i know these questions will sound pretty stupid. But i need help with data draining. You see the spread by the word infection and what color its in when you select data drain right?(im asking i honestly dont know). And for some reason my spread doesn't seem to be going down... I'll defeat lots of monsters without useing it then when i do it goes breserk.(yet to get a negative affect but still) please help.

the infection color is shown within the outline of Kite, I rarely did Data drain so I never really noticed it at first. That is, until I had to get more A and B virus cores, I noticed how the color changed and spread. You won't really notice it since since the color is slight until it start getting dark. When you data drain something and it goes out of control..that is a warning that you are slipping to a new warning level. Oh yeah..I beat it on my third day of owning it.

There are three more, four parts total that will be out by the end of the world. People with the first game get a discount I think. Thats why its not meant to be dissapointing... It keeps going.
