Here are two Very rare movies. "Song of the South"- the only Disney movie to be banned in the States due to its portrail of black slavery, those overseas sould be able to find it. And also, a movie that, as far as my knowledge, has not been realeased publicly (those of you who collect rare movies and search eBay for fan copies). "Robinson Curusoe on Mars", its an old Sci Fi flik that takes the Robinson Curusoe story and places it on Mars, its really good.

Re: Movies you must see
My list, and yes, I know some of these movies have been mentioned, but for many of them I don't think the explainations gave them justice.
Dogma -- If you haevn't watched Dogma, you're missing out. If you don't know about Dogma, you've probably been in a hole for the past five years. Not only is this movie rip-roaringly funny, filled with the best of what makes Kevin Smith who he is, but it also raises a lot of points regarding the nature of religion and belief.
The Fifth Element -- As you'll find out, I'm a sucker for movies that deal with the nature of humanity. The Fifth Element not only sports an all-star cast (Bruce Willis, Sir Ian Holm, Chris Tucker, Gary Oldman); but also manages a careful balance between humour and serious comments on human nature. This movie is a perfect example (in my opinion) of what Sci-Fi is made of. Even if you don't buy my ravings on its artistic value, the movie is damn fun to watch.
City of Angels -- As an angel, it's always been Nicolas Cage's job to watch. That is, until he falls in love (with Meg Ryan). He is given a choice. Accept eternity without her or fall and spend a mortal life with her. It sounds like a cheesy chick flick, but this movie is so full of real emotion that its sometimes hard to bare. Just watch it before you judge, dammit.
What Dreams May Come -- Robin Williams in a fantastic film dealing with heaven and hell. Especially recommended for those who are crazy about mythology, or who have read The Inferno.
The Harry Potter films -- OK, you know what they are. Don't assume its just for the kids, both the films and the books are enjoyed by all ages for a reason. If you absolutely refuse to see them (or read them, as it were) you're either a stuck up euridite or someone who is trying to "act old" in order to keep people from noticing how young you are.
The Sixth Sense -- If you haven't seen it, you've probably heard about the twist by now, but that's not all there is to this movie. Watch it for Shyamalan's writing and directing and Osment's acting. Watch it in awe of this then 11 year old actor who, if he were to be given some decent parts, might be a household name one day.
South Park: Bigger, Longer, Uncut -- One critic actually called this the best musical of its time. South Park has never really been my thing, but this movie's high irreverency is downright funny and it make glaringly obvious the faults of censorship and pointing the finger at entertainment for the problems of the present.
The Lord of the Rings -- Pardon me for being guilty of what I fault some for doing in this thread but...DUH!!
Hmm...might add more later...its late now...

A man can have no better epitaph than that which is written on the hearts of his friends.
"..none of these things, I say, can make a man happy, unless he can win one more victory in addition to those the world thinks so great - the victory over himself."

I looked at a few pages of this thread and didn't see "Metropolis" the B&W classic

Actually, if you want the full experience, you need to see the Wim Wenders original Wings of Desire. There are some great tricks like the angel sequences filmed in B&W, until he comes to Earth. And the Dennis Franz character is played by Peter Falk, who is playing...Peter Falk! Seriously, I thought it was much better (and I liked CoA - I mean, it has a Seth in it!)

I shall second God of Cookery. I couldn't stop laughing.
Clerks: It's about just that: Two clerks in a convienence store, faced with situations that you wouldn't encounter every day.
Batman: This should be obvious enough. Batman faces off against the Joker.
Evil Dead 2: Dead 'Till Dawn: Ash goes back to the shack that was in all the other Evil Dead movies, and reads the Necronomicon. Again. Hilarity ensues. (Cheesy-type funny)
The original Star Wars Trilogy: Everyone's seen this by now, no explanation needed.
The Ninth Gate: A book dealer searches for the devil's book.
Secret Window: A writer is accused of stealing someone else's story, and the accuser goes to extreme means to get the problem rectified...
The Bourne Identity: A man loses his memory after a botched assassination attempt.
That's all I can think of at the moment.
I'll pray that was sarcasm.Terrene: Street Fighter
Excellent! I just watched that the other day!

I had that dream again. My world was black as night. Plagued by visions of a future world, I sang about these dreams, warning man of his demise. Wasted words that no one heard...

Seconded

gravity,randomperson2, agreed, extremly worth getting.
The DVD (r2) is brilliant too.
Also:
Adam And Paul.
I don't know what kind of release it will get, but its an Irish movie about two Heroin Addicts in Dublin.
Only its part slapstick comedy, part bleak heroin drama.
No, seriously.

Did you imagine the final sound as a gun? Or the shattered windows of a car? Did you ever imagine the last thing you'd hear as you're fading out was a song?
