Somehow, those remind me of the wind scorpions that invaded my house not too long ago...
Heh! I'll be damned, they're the same thing!
Image

Of course, it could be worse... They could've been bitten by one of these...

And, there are fuglier spiders out there...

Wait, seriously the same thing?
So they're not just in the lonely desert but visit residential areas as well?!

Please God. Please just let my home be overrun with bats, or mice or something manageable. I don't think I can handle those monstrosities.

I thought I knew fear! But fear for me has been redefined!

Yeah, I live out in the country... In a prairie region. All sorts-a critters out here: Coyotes, tarantulas, rattle-snakes, bull-snakes, king-snakes, hog-nosed snakes, wasps out the wild-zoo, ants (half-inch long), hawks, grasshoppers that'll kill you if you look at 'em funny (no joke. Had one on my window one morning that was at least 9 inches long!), lizards, etc. So, if you're up in the city, you've nothing to worry about (but an ultra-sonic pest repeller wouldn't hurt, either  )

Ah, bark scorpion. I believe that's the only scorpion in the US that can kill a human being...

Aye... I always have the strange impulse to bite spiders. Something about them makes my gums itch with itchy itchable itchyness. I think it might be their bum... Looks like it's filled with jelly or something biteable... :|

Spiders BAD.

I picked up my fear when I woke up with one about that big on my chest and under the sheets. I didn't know what it was until I went to scratch and I brushed it. The thing was harmless, but when I promptly tore my room apart I found three more... large, mostly unused basement bedrooms are very, very bad that way.

Yar.. I don't have many spiders in my house. Instead, there are crazy leggy long centipede type creatures... *shudder*

Heh, you should go visit Tennessee. They don't call 'em "Grand-daddy Long-legs" for no reason.

I think those are called "House centipedes". They eat the glue that holds your carpet together (evolution is amazing, ain't it?). I had a centipede (real one, oragne-ish red, you know the one) in my bathroom once, crawling on mein ceiling! So I locked him in a jar and timed how long it took for him to die from lack of oxygen.

*for those curious, no, I didn't actually time it. I just locked him up until nature took its course.

No, but they have the same coloration. They look just like centipedes, except they're gray-ish in color and have spidery legs, about 30 of them.
