Imagine stepping on one of these! They invade our house every year. Got stung by one last year... It is best Described as stepping on a BIG hot peice of glass.

Yeah, we have the same kind around here. Those motherfuckers hurt, and it doesn't help that they love to snuggle up in clean laundry.
Heh, you should go visit Tennessee. They don't call 'em "Grand-daddy Long-legs" for no reason.
Pft. They aren't that bad. The biggest one I saw in nine years living there was only about five inches from end to end. They stink like hell when you squish them, however.

You mean the ones with a body about 1/3 inches across?

Oh, and there's also those things they call "Golly-woppers". They look like a mosquito... Except they 4 inches long...

I especially like the hornets in Tennessee. They're bigger than your thumb.

The roaches in Florida were always a trip.
They frickin' fly.
I mean, WTF?
WTH is up with these creatures, man?
God can be one effed up mother effer.
"I have a new game. Just for fun, let's try to come up with the scariest, fugliest, goddamn wicked creatures you can imagine.
"No no, don't worry about how many legs you want it to have
"Nope fangs can go on anything in this game, anything at all! Just have fun!
"No, of course I won't actually put them on EARTH. That would be sick!"
one week later
"Uh, God, have you seen that list of freaky things we made up? Iw ant to show it to Murry on third shift."
"Oh sure, I put it in the 'out' pile."
"Um, you mean THIS pile?"
"oops..."
My sig would have contained the secret of life, but I'd already clicked submit.

Of course, it's the small ones when under miscroscope that are the fugliest, hands-down.

My parents live out in Colleyville, TX and from spring to fall we have to keep scooping them up and throwing them back out. They are the hardest fuckers to kill, but if you scare them enough they will sting themselves to death. Thats kind of fun to watch when your mom is up on the couch saying" KILL IT, KILL IT".

If you prepare them correctly, most spiders taste nice, and can add an interesting flavor to almost any dis......

It's when they lay their eggs just under your skin you have to worry, and the spider babies hatch and eat their way out...[/urbanmyth]
actually i heard that they are not real spiders... because they have an exoskeleton or something

But then again there are a LOT of unreliable sources on camel spiders... so i could be very wrong
Arachnids like all other Invertebrates have an exoskeleton. Vertebrates have endoskeletons.

Exoskeleton means, a hard outer structure, such as the shell of an insect or crustacean, that provides protection or support for an organism.
Endoskeleton means, an internal supporting skeleton, derived from the mesoderm, that is characteristic of vertebrates and certain invertebrates.
