Why Bother?
Why bother staying on this world?
What purpose do we serve by staying here?
Does it really matter if we follow anything at all in our short lives?
If there is a god why doesn't he/she ever visit?
(not a forum game questions I am asking)

You serve no purpose becasue in all truth there is not purpose or point to anything. But of course most people do like being controled by the stimulus they recieve and try to have as pleasant of an experience they can on here because they don't know what else to choose. That fact dosen't matter anyway. Nothing really matters, saying moving or changing the matter around you is only to make it fit into what your personal prejudice of good is. Or in other words, what matters to you is only what matters to you and you shouldn't bother trying to hope to do anything that matters more than that. And they probably can't visit. I know everyone always says he/she is all powerful but how do we know? I mean if I was a god but not all powerful... I would tell the people I am cause I would seem so to them. Then when I don't do something for them I'd just say it's all part of my planWhy bother staying on this world?

Objectivist
M-hmm. Well, it's nothing very special. Uh, try and be nice to people, avoid eating fat, read a good book every now and then, get some walking in, and try and live together in peace and harmony with people of all creeds and nations. And, finally, here are some completely gratuitous pictures of penises to annoy the censors and to hopefully spark some sort of controversy, which, it seems, is the only way, these days, to get the jaded, video-sated public off their fucking arses and back in the sodding cinema. Family entertainment? Bollocks. What they want is filth: people doing things to each other with chainsaws during tupperware parties, babysitters being stabbed with knitting needles by gay presidential candidates, vigilante groups strangling chickens, armed bands of theatre critics exterminating mutant goats. Where's the fun in pictures? Oh, well, there we are.

I'd say that there really is no purpose to existence. Time is more of a circle than a line, and we could quite possibly just relive this and a few more existences over and over and over and over again. So if we've got to do it for the rest of eternity, why not enjoy it when we can?
As for God, I think of "him" as a sort of reality TV executive. A sadist who thrives off the suffering of we pitiful mortals. So stop suffering just to spite him. Showing himself would ruin the whole illusion; it's all about celestial ratings. Reality is a reality show for some super-reality deities.
The ultimate injustice is that we don't even get paid for syndication!
