Purpose of life? Point of keeping on going?
The human weakness for seeing what's around the next corner, that's what.
When I turn 60 though, I'll commit seppuku with an authentic wakizashi and the top of a skyscraper. Being cheered on by the entire world, which I conquered at 26 and have reigned ever since.

Except that these days it's usually the degenerate morons who have families of six or more children, and the intelligent people who stick to one or two. We're likely experiencing reverse-evolution...
In fact, if we went by typical human behavior, we'd have to assume that the purpose of life is to be a complete and utter moronic shithead.

Sounds fair.
The reverse evolution thing is very true. The other day I saw a documentary about Downs-syndromed people wanting to have children. Not a dry eye, indeed, and what if you were or knew, a Mongoloid? But if you look beyond humanity, they are incapable of taking care of their own. How much must they leech off society? If they have a child, it is an entirely new life the government must fund.
With the fear of sounding a bit nazist, I don't think that people should be allowed giving birth to children suffering Downs syndrome.

Nazi!
/me points frantically
Everybody! There's a Nazi here! Look! Look!
Don't worry, there are sure to be several others around of like mind. Even I have concerns about the whole issue, but think it is better resolved with genetically analyzing a fetus in order to determine if the child developed from it would have any severe disabilities and aborting it if so. People with Down Syndrome do not necessarily bear children with it. Of course, then I could be seen as wanting to 'play god' ... which I do...
