- We were never being boring. We had too much time to find for ourselves.
OOC: Damn you, now I can't stop laughing. It's just the mental image of a flying wocket...teehee...

The villagers, although saddened by the loss of Elyse, realized that they had other things to attend to. "Lets kill the bastard so we can form a search party!" One villager screamed. "What? Why when he can help us find the lost one!?" blurted out another. "Oh sure, so he can just run off at any opportune moment" sneered a third. Then there was a silence. "Mills, you got anything to say on yer behalf?" croaked a particularly old man. Everyone slowly turned to Mills.

OCC: That's it? That's it? 3 days so you can have my character whore himself out in a monologue??????
Well, if you insist....
IC:
"Oh, bloody hell," Mills thought to himself. There went his best blade in the lung of the bird. "Probably won't be getting that one back.
He reached towards his hip to his flask. It was empty. Not a drop in the damn thing. "Oh, Bloody hell!" he thought to himself.
"You got anything to say on your behalf?" croaked an old man, bringing Mills out of his thoughts. The crowd..... that angry mob.... bunches of people that wanted him dead... just like the old days. "Bloody bloody HELL," he raged internally.
He quickly replayed the last few moments in his brain, paying special attention to who was saying what. He decided to respond to the young villager who accused him of being a coward. He glared at him.
Run? Turn tail and run? Like a coward? Like a child? Like a small woodland creature? No, my friend. Ranyans do not run. They stand their ground. Always. Exiting a situation only after a victory has been secured or the end of game has been declared. I've been called many things... a thief, a fabulous lover, a drunkard, a cheat, a vulgar twit, an extraordinary lover, a lazy dolt, a cheap corner cutter, an incredibly talented lover... an insane woman even called me a frankfurter once. But never, ever has anyone dared to insinuate that I was a coward. It's just not in my blood, boy.
Aton Ranyan never ran. Gran Ranyan never ran. Lan Ranyan never ran... well, he ran once, but only when was caught in a compromising position with a magistrate's daughter and the judge socked him one in the jaw, throwing him back into a kitchen fire, setting his trousers ablaze, and only then it was to find some water to put out the burn before it reached anything important... but that's a non-sequitor, so that doesn't count.
No, sir. None of these men ever ran. And you know what they have in common? Dead, all of them. We Ranyans are consistent, if not particularly bright.
I've survived long and well on my charm, wits, charm, intelligence, and charm. I've never had to back away from a fight. Ever. I'm here to stay. However, if you want to send me to my Keeper, you'll get a hell of a fight, but you won't catch me running.
You all wrong me. Every one of you. The accusations are false, and I have the fullest confidence that the truth will come to light eventually... though maybe too late to save my hide this time. No dear friends, I cannot tell you where Elyse has been taken to. All of these events have caught me completely by surprise.
I would be willing, of course, to aid you in your search, as that bird has taken two things very dear to me: my special blade and my future lover. We could pursue on foot as the bird has suffered severe battle damage and will be slowing for a rest very soon.
End my life tonight and you lose a powerful ally. Of this, I assure you.

(OOC: Its everyone's choice, follow the bird? or kill Mills. I hope you don't mind me changing how the game is run, I just feel its better to have it stray from the mold a bit. 1 day, and if enough people want to follow, we do. If you don't vote by the end of tommorrow, or its a tie, its my choice

Mills turned to Nicole and allowed a slight scowl to cross his face.
My dear lady, I assure you the comment was made with dripping sarcasm. The woman is trying to have me killed, after all.
OCC: Wowie daddy! This is turning into a real RPG! Weeeee!
And, errr, Mills votes to following the bouncing birdie. For obvious reasons.

OOC: Can't we kill Mills AND follow the bird, both? I mean, it doesn't take much to bash his head in ...
