Yeah, but you just said you wanted to get your grade. If you get his ass fired, he won't be there to give you an easy grade :)

What do you mean, "not to have an account". I'm sure I've got an account. o.o I made a new one so I could use that e-mail. :x .... and anyway, my mom woke me up ... "turn on CNN, Chris" ... I turned on the TV after the first tower was hit, but in time to see the second tower (live?) .. and then towers collapse, live. And I was like "holy shit..."
... and then still went to class that day. o.o

I saw it in a kiosk, buying some candy or something. It was six hours later in the day here or so, probably more mind you. GMT+01 and all. I was more like "WTF..."

Hmm I can't seem to add you, so maybe you could return the favor. da@darksites.com :)

Good luck getting him fired if he is tenured. But I whole heartidly would like to see him gone. I never did much like philosophy classes/professors.

Where the hell have you been? He has a Ph.D. that means his name has three letters at the end. That means he's done a lot of research, but that does not mean his opinions are now fact.

You need to consider that it was once considered fact that the world was flat. Everything is subjective when you look at it that way.

Ok let me explain more clearly...
In a feild like philosophy, everything is opinion. By the fact of having done so much research he gives credability to his opinions. I never said his opinions were fact. If your looking for facts run away from philosophy as fast as you can, whole feilds in philosophy are devoted to the idea that there are no hard facts.

Oh yeah, StruckingFuggle, if a philosophy professor is causing problems it means he's doing his job right.

I'm not sure if I want to laugh ... or laugh.
The point of philosophy is not to cause trouble ... however, anyone serious about it shouldn't care all that much if their questions and attempted answers do cause trouble; and oftentimes in pursuit of the actual point of philosophy one will cause trouble, yes.

I see the point of philosophy as "asking questions society already has acceptable answers to." If that isn't causing trouble, I don't know what it. (Besides vandalism and the like)

oh yeah, and you want to laugh

Edit: What confusedcious is saying is that 'fact' is simply a widely accepted oppinion.

Philosphy is just finding out for yourself what you think about life so you can act according to your own idea of what is right and wrong.
