Van Helsing, latest movie
Anyone planning on going to see this when it comes out? Looks quite good.
Re: Van Helsing, latest movie
I plan on seeing it ASAP. It looks quite awesome with a bunch of well known character villians all in one movie. But then again, I enjoyed LXG. So....I may not be the best person to reference.
Speaking of LXG, did anyone else find it weird that the same actor who was M in LXG is also Dracula in this movie? And has he been in anything else other than several-story-hybrid-movies?

Not quite as well known as you'd think. It seems that even the people who did the trailer(I haven't seen the movie yet, so I can't say if it's THEIR fault or not) don't seem to realize that it's Frankenstein's monster, and not Frankenstein himself. Putting Van Helsing up against a pitiful old doctor wouldn't be terribly interesting, now would it? =P

Depends on the doctor and the writer. You could make a really good story from that, too.Putting Van Helsing up against a pitiful old doctor wouldn't be terribly interesting, now would it? =P

Lets see if StruckingFuggle is correct. Dr. Lector, I rest my case.

Or way better than Dr. Lector, Doctor Desty Nova.
It's about being full of more cunning and wit and devious preperation than the meatbag with the weapons.

Thank god I am not the only one that noticed that. Every time the trailer comes on I find my self yelling, "'s Monster, damn you... Frankenstein's Monster!!!" Anyways, I think that this movie looks awesome. As for LXG for people who A) know about the comic or B) know how to watch a movie analytically, the movie sucked. But, for the people who go in ignorant of the plot/can only watch a movie for face value(most of the general populace) it was good.don't seem to realize that it's Frankenstein's monster, and not Frankenstein himself

I swear to god I am surrounded by stupid!
Actually all the reviews I have found on the web have universally reported that it sucked. Horribly stupid plot, and that Jackman and Beckinsale are slumming. Their acting isn't enough to pull up all the other actors poor showing.
