I wouldn't be surprised if you were freakishly correct.

I got the funny feeling that FFX-2 was a money raiser for the new Square Enix merge, it totally felt non FF. I mean, it didn't even have the classic victory fanfare for god's sake!

I expect that you're right FireAza. FFX-2 basically uses the exact same code from FFX (with some modified for the different gameplay).

From what I hear it was released because they could basically reuse much of what they already had from FFX, so they could create a new game with minimal development costs.

Still, I had fun playing it. I loved the battle system.

Hey, I liked FFVIII... it had a good storyline (meh, I'm a sucker for romance), the junction system was FUN to use, and the characters were really cool. As far was FFX-2 goes, FFX left off at a possible cliffhanger. The X storyline could have continued, it could have not, and they chose to give it a definitive ending. Now, the battle system was unique and a little more fast-paced, but it was good because a tad more realistic than the other battle systems. As for the feel of the game, yeah, it DID feel a little bit more "bubbly" than other series, but I have a feeling that the game was a little bit geared towards *gasp OMFGF!!!* the female and casual gamer fanbase, although with some of that fanservice, it's kinda hard to tell. And as far as the fanservice goes, COM'ON! You're complaining?!

... I'm beginning to think that the only reason games are looking more and more realistic is to create hot-looking women just so someone can stare at them and not get in trouble... x_x;;

Anyways, back to Zelda... very pretty, and I can't wait for all the promo stuff that they're gonna ship out to the stores... something tells me that the promo goodness is gonna disappear really fast @ our Gamestop, and not because of customers. :mrgreen:

BTW, did anybody see the Hyrulian (sp?) Shield and Master Sword Miyamoto was wielding @ E3? Hot damn, that was cool... =q

I like how every character can use any or all of the powers its not reserved for only one person :twisted:

In hindsight you're right. Tantric orgasm describes it much better.

I would like the storyline if I would be permited to drive a 18 wheeler throu the plot holes but Square keeped throwing crap in my way like pitiful character design, useless Magic system, and the use of convenient plot devices. Did I forget the whole smacking head on desk was more fun?

Now please go back to topic.

What was the topic? :? Ah yes, the shiny new Zelda game. Today I was digging through my backups and I found a trailer for The Wind Waker, back before it had a name. I'm getting the same feeling that I had back then that I have now for the new game, and that feeling is.... I WANT!

I've never understood why people thought the last few games were too kiddy.

They've ALWAYS been kiddy!!

Geez.

And the cartoon and comic were kiddy and goofy. It's not a serious series!
