The article said the two reactants couldn't combine to form sarin since the shell wasnt fired out of an artillery piece, as it was meant to.

Just to show a second, non-US based media group's article on it.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/middle_east/3722255.stm
However, a senior coalition source has told the BBC the round does not signal the discovery of weapons of mass destruction or the escalation of insurgent activity.

He said the round dated back to the Iran-Iraq war and coalition officials were not sure whether the fighters even knew what it contained.
kthx.

Calus, the article you linked to is what mattered more to me. Considering that was on the topic of the Sarin Gas being found.

It is only one bombshell. And we are not sure if it comes from Iraq. We should wait before saying Bush is right. Or maybe should we say: "Bush is right, they found 3 or 4 bombshell"

What a threat !

This happens every time the coalition finds a can of roach spray: "Look! SEE? Chemicals! WMDs! *slobber* *drool*"

C'mon. Really. The bombshell wasn't even used correctly which goes to show that those who had it had no idea what it was. They probably found it in a neighbor's house or the local dump.

If everyone will think back to Bush's rhetoric before the war, he was warning the world about Saddam's STOCKPILES of WMDs. This just proves, once again, that Iraq barely even had a stone to throw at its enemies...

As much as I would like to say Bush was correct, this definately does not prove anything.

Could someone please tell me why are nerve gases banned, and bombs are not? I realize both are deadly, and the nerve gas may be a little more messy, but I don't get it.

Sure it's only one for now, but one sarin gas nerveshell does not just pop up in the middle of the desert by itself.

Where there's one, there's probably more. Don't fool yourself into thinking that that's the only shell in the country.

For heaven's sake, we didnt even know there were MIGS by our soldiers until the wind blew the sand away. What makes you think that smaller, more compact weapons can't be hidden?

Much less moved. What's with the extraordinary traffic and movement of cargo vehicles to Syria from Iraq in the days and weeks leading up to the war?

If Saddam had all those WMDs, why didnt he use them in the first place? Why wait more than a year? Wouldnt he had rather used them during the invasion so he could remain in power?

If he used WMD, he would have started WWIII. He didn't exactly have the military capabilities to start a full-fledged war.
